Went to bed expecting to wake up to no power and a bunch of leaks - wake up and see I've barely got any rain.

WTF is going on?
_____________________________________________
The storm has barely moved. NW at 6mph.

Hanging out off coast just lashing coast.

Wind gusts over 100-110 in plaquemines, water overtopping levees down there too.

Storm moved about 15 miles over night and is pushing a storm surge up the river that overtopped the local levees in Plaquemines. The federal levees are holding.

Back levee overtopped or failed according to Fox8 Nola

I'm out of non dairy creamer. My neighbor has a newborn. Would it be bad to ask her for breast milk?

I went through the beer yesterday when I had power and it was still cold. Saving the knob creek for today. Tomorrow is red wine if necessary.

Is it still moving WNW or more NW now?

I really hate to have my weekend inconvenienced so this thing needs to head North already and stay away from Lake Chuck.
