This marsh isn't going to hinder its intensification...lot of the water done there is plenty warm

If there is any intensification once it gets over the marshes, it will be extremely marginal.

What are the odds that it rises another 10 feet or so? Isn't that about how tall the levees are in lakeview? Maybe a little higher.

Current weather at my position in south plaquemines:
Wind: 30-50
Pressure: 28.75 in hg or 973 mb

Overall not to bad so far. Not much rain to speak of. This will be a non issue in Naton Rouge.

Hey, I'm right with you bro.

I'm just relieved because we really dodged a bullet.

I now worship at the alter of dry air.

anyone heard anything about lakeview flooding?

I highly doubt it, it hasn't really rained that much here today and I see no standing water out my window.

I won't lie... I better lose power for at least a bit or I'm gonna be disappointed.

I think it may be time for you to quit downplaying this storm.

I like your posts, but this thing looks like it is getting some more bite. It is going to be serious somewhere.

Why would we be? Sustained Hurricane winds won't occur in BR, nor did they during Gustav.

I was about to make a joke but I won't for fear of banishment. Nothing to do with you or your opinion but it would have been funny

I heard BR is completely fricked from half of this board. like, the city might be wiped off the map, no power for 3 weeks etc...
