Just got the biggest gusts I've seen at LSU. The winds were pretty fierce but I'm still expecting worse

And coming with more frequency now. Only a matter of time

BR will get a direct hit from the most concentrated winds (NE Quad). It wont be Gustav, but it wont be fun either.....hope you guys don't get the swarm of tornados/eddies.

at the wife. We were sitting out on the front porch and one hell of a gust of wind came and it bent some 15 year old pecan tree tops to the ground. She jumped up, started running to the door. Flat out

The gusts here on the westbank are pretty bad still, but in between the gusts the wind isn't nearly as bad and the rain is a draw, it was never really that rainy except some flare ups here and there. Power still out and generator is blinking so might not last till the power comes back one, which I will assume will be anytime between Thursday evening and Saturday.

from a wind speed standpoint, it is fairly clear......
