Isaac is looking pretty good on the visible satellite. Clouds are wrapping around big time. Not so much on the infrared.

But BR has been hit by nothing yet.

I wouldn't worry yet bro I've seen limbs damn near kill people on LSU campus on days when wind was non-existant. I'm not saying don't worry at all I'm just saying don't kill yourself becuase a branch is laying on the ground in the quad.

The strength behind the disdain from the OT Hurricane Elitist Club has given hope that I will once again rebuild here in Houston....

to bring this up again

this is what I think will happen storm will come directly at BR maybe little west or a little east doesn't matter. By the time it makes landfall the winds will start to weaken. The center of the storm is predicted to be here at 7pm wednesday night and by that time the max sustained wins will be around 50mph in BR during Gustav winds were sustained between 65 and 70. Also the northwest side of this storm may be the weakest side of this storm and really untill the center passes over us that's what side we will get. I say we won't see sustained wins over 60mph through this entier storm. This storm will do much less then Gustav did. It will cause lots of damage I don't deny that but it isn't a gustav.

about the game if we have power and debris isn't scattered all over the place then we could very well play.

If it makes anyone feel any better, there's about a 15 MPH sustained wind here in Lake Charles. No rain. Just sunshine. Just the home field stretch to my Saturday college football viewing pleasure.

on a lighter note....i talked to my parents in belle chasse yesterday...

me: y'all have a generator don't you?

mom: we have (my brother's) welding machine...

me: after a moment's thought, ok you have a 110 outlet on that, you can run the refrigerator and freezer and a couple of fans....

mom: ...it takes a lot of gas to run a generator

me: (bangs head....)

before that i talked to my uncle out at nine mile point who has a natural gas powered 25 KW generator...was telling me about his neighbor who after katrina decided that it cost less to install one too rather than send his wife and daughter to the galleria hotel in houston..
