All in the 1200 to 1500 range.
Which do you prefer and why?
Thanks!

Weber summit in that range is a solid grill with traditionally great customer service.

those are all disposable, IMO.
Get an egg or some other ceramic.
I have a primo thats 11 years old and going strong.
If you're worried about how long it takes to get to temp, I have a mapp gas torch. I can have it to temp in 10 min. A gas is pretty much the same.

I’m debating the same thing. I’m leaning Broil King but would like feedback.

I have a egg and love it. But, last Friday evening, we lost power. Rain had finished and I didn't want to drag out the egg. Went and got this high dollar pit out.
20 minutes later from the start.
Goes to show you that one doesn't need a high dollar grill.

I agree fishfighter but I’m looking for a built in grill. I think if it was stand alone I would just buy a basic gas grill. For a built in I want it to last a little longer. I really want a gas grill to compliment my smoker so I can just grill some burgers without messing w charcoal etc.

I have a Broil King S590 with the stainless grates. Absolutely love it. At times I think I would appreciate the cast iron cook box of a Webber but don't really know why.

Char-Griller Akorn ~ $250.
Put the other $1000 in stocks.

I’m sure you buy cheap everything and put all your money in stocks. I’ve got money to blow. Already got money in stocks. You should go back to the money board where they ask questions about stocks.

I want one to last 6-10 years overall. I cover mine as well.
and one that will grill better without such hot zones, and flares that are crazy.
Looking at stainless, 4-5 burner with side burner free standing. Thanks folks. I will keep your considerations in mind!

My Primo is 10+ years old in a very high humidity environment where everything steel rust very quickly.

My first Weber lasted about 15 years. I replaced the burners and grill with all stainless. I got tired of filling propane bottles and we wanted a side burner so we got the Weber natural gas SE-335. Three main burners, 1 'sear' burner, and a side burner. It got delivered today and I just hooked it up. I let it burn for a few minutes just to confirm I had good gas flow. Worked fine.
Here's the deal: I bought this grill because we cook during the week which means we want to be able to turn it on, cook, and turn it off. Speed and zero hassle are the most important features. Were I retired or had more time / space, I would probably get something else. A Green Egg. A Traeger pellet smoker. For now, just trying to live.

All of this is exactly my situation! QUick, yet enjoying a bit of family time. If I got 15 years out of a Genesis 4 burner i would be thrilled. Thanks

Get the cast iron burners and it will outlast you. My uncle's is still going strong from the 70s.
