Have tried just about everything including Soft Scrub to clean the glass and get the spots off but nothing works.
Any suggestions on a cleaner to do the job?
Thanks.

Barkeeper's friend and some sort of abrasive sponge (I use scrub daddy) has helped out with mine. Usually takes a couple of tries to get it all off

Use the most aggressive compound you can find at an auto parts store. Meguairs M105 and a dual action polisher would work best. But with that compound you’d probably manage to get most of by hand.

After you get it clean, apply a coat of car wax to it to prevent it from happening again.

+1. Wax or rain-X windshield treatment to make the water bead on the surface will help keep it clear for longer. Also highly suggest a squeegee. After every other shower just get the water off the glass. Goes a long way.

Spray it on and rinse it off. Then use wet and forget weekly.

I used ceramic wax and am 5 months in with no residual buildup.

Depends on what you are seeing. If it is buildup of minerals, try some abrasives like those already suggested. Unfortunately mine was actually etched, and that requires glass replacement

I cant remeber the brand but its a car detailer glass water spot remover. I tried everything and anything until i found this stuff. Its like a paste and removed itball with a little elbow grease. Try the chemical guys stuff. If not a cutting compound will do it

Probably hard water deposits, calcium, etc...

Wipe down with some CLR and then rinse the glass off. Another option is to use tootpaster and hand polish. That will work also.

CLR is faster and easier and will very likely remove them.

Came here to post that. Body shops use 0000 all the time to get water spots and overspray off windshields.

Thanks for all the great replies.
First tried a magic eraser and it got most of the residue off then followed with barkeeper cleanser on the rough side of a kitchen sponge. That did the trick.
Now I am going to apply wax to hopefully allow some time before having to clean again.

Let us know how that works. I applied rain-x to mine, but unfortunately it didn’t last long at all.

Do you squeegee after every use as well or no?

I had the same problem. I tried vinegar and Bar Keepers Friend to no avail. I used Method Bathroom Cleaner and that did the trick for me.
