it’s coming right back from the roots left behind. And if you don’t throw away what you pull, you’re spreading it.
Nah not really. And obviously throwing it away.

Maybe you’re the only homeowner on the planet getting all the roots. You should sell autographs!

You may not have read what I did and am very confident this will work for others.

Year 1, I stayed on top of it with MSM Turf. Year 2, I maybe sprayed once.

After all of this, the mature patches were completely gone. You’re left with small immature plants, easy to pull the taproot completely out by hand. They’re not mature enough to have an extensive root system.

I literally had VBW all over my Bermuda lawn, and this eradicated nearly 99% of it by year 3. I left out that I stay on top of my pre-emergent, but it’s not that effective against VBW anyway. So the little VBW I do have are newly germinated.

I don’t find it difficult to pull out of beds. I don’t give a shite if it’s in the lawn

I’ve used Speedzone southern for VB in Bermuda and it works when applies with hand sprayer and boom.

no Virginia button weed is a very aggressive weed variety but I find that it is easy to pull it out of the ground. It is a Matty weed but if you have the time you can really slow it down by pulling it out of the ground. I am sure if you have a garden weasel it could probably also save you from bending over. Good luck.

I've had good success with Celsius in the past but it does take multiple applications, about a month or 6 weeks apart

Just sprayed VBW about 1.5 weeks ago using .113 ounces per gallon. It’s definitely killing it slowly. Bout to hit it again in about 1 more week.

Take great pleasure in pulling those little bastards out of the ground.
I do the same. Pretty easy after a rain.

Careful. Celsius can stress grass if you use too much.

I'd also add that using a methylated seed oil as the surfactant has helped our treatments be more effective on VBW (use MSM and Celsius). VBW has a waxy coating that seed oil eats into a bit better.
