Wooded property with water. Too many snakes. Do you all know of any products that work well to deter/repel the snakes?

I don't think there is really too much you can do with a heavily wooded property and water. Snakes flock to both as they can hide in it.

Get rid of woodpiles, tall grassy areas, and mulched areas if possible.

Maybe get a cat?

If you are looking for a chemical type product, there is no such thing. Don't waste your money on those and please do not spread moth balls around your property.

The best way is to remove what attracts the snakes to the area. Not sure what you can do about the water though or realistically, the woods. You can make the area immediately adjacent to your house less attractive to them though. Remove wood piles, long grass, and food sources. As someone mentioned, a cat is a possibility. It works in 2 ways. Keeps the mice/rats away and snakes tend to avoid cats anyway.

Get a cat to catch the snake. Get a dog to run the cat into the woods. Get an alligator to eat the dog. Problem solved.

Keep grass very low, clear sticks and debris from the ground, remove bushes/shrubs, and plant some catnip somewhere far from where you park your cars.

Agree with above, eliminate hiding places and food sources (by eliminating rodent hiding places), and learn the difference between good and bad snakes. Rat snakes and King snakes may eat other snakes, but also keep down the population of prey.

A small terrier of any type would likely solve your problem

My great-grandfather used to crack eggs over golf balls and leave them around his property. He swore the snakes would think they're real eggs, swallow the golf balls and die.

He also had a pint of whisky in his overall bibs at all times so take it for what it's worth.

All you can do is clear cover, remove brush and leaf cover and increase sunlight.

If they don’t have cover and food they will move on.

The snakes are there for the cover and the food as said, they are eating frogs, rodents, and fish. You'll need to reduce the cover and eliminate some of the food and they will leave.

counter productive. a cat will bring live snakes to your doorstep to show you, often letting them go and hide right around that area.
