What should I expect to pay to have a 30,000 sq ft lawn fertilized?

Stagreen ammonium sulfate from Lowe's is $25 a bag. I cover about 10ksf of Bermuda with 1 bag. 3 bags, $75. I sometimes put down Urea from Walmart. Expert gardener brand. $20 bag covers about 5ksf

Someone you pay to do it for you? I don’t know, ronk does this for a living so he’s better qualified to answer this.

But for DYI - as LEASTBAY states, most bags of lawn fertilizer applied at 1 pound of Nitrogen per 1000 sq ft will cover about 10,000 sq ft of lawn per application. Cost of 3 bags of lawn fertilizer $75-$100.

About $200. That would be fert, spot weed control, lawn damaging insect and disease control if needed.

The yard has a lot of clover that needs to go so lots of spot treatment. That is much lower than what i have seen.

Your smaller places vary greatly. Some go super cheap to try to get customers and some go high to cover costs. The larger companies have more stable prices due to our buying power.

Is this what you use?

Also, are there any pre-cautions when applying, i.e. you need to water it in right away to avoid any turf burn?

Yes. I have Bermuda and it eats a lot of Fertilizer. If centipede or something else be careful. Not sure specifics on other turf types. If just starting out maybe put it at half rate at first. Can always go back later and do the other half.

I know exactly which one you are talking about. That fert is a beast. 20-0-0.

I have 30K SF of Tifway 419 so I'm always looking for the most economical and best product. I've never applied that type of fert before so I'm a little apprehensive about trying it out.

Bermuda is pretty tough. Hard to mess it up if you follow the instructions.

I’ll put 46-0-0 on my tif 3 weeks apart at 4lbs of total product thousand. It’s hard to mess up a hybrid.

You’ll have to mow 3 times a week but it will be emerald in color.

Yeahhhhh.....I'm not mowing 30K SF 3 times a week.

I'll have to quit my full time job to do that, especially with trying to fit that in between rains, etc.

You have to cut it that often even if it's under regulation via PGR?

This

Unlikely. I haven't put PGR down yet but it should help a good bit. Start slow. I'm cutting at least every other day right now. Hopefully starting the PGR in a few weeks. Mines only 5ksf though. Start slow with the fertilizer maybe.

I let my 8 and 9 year old cut for the first time last week. I had them split the back with the self propel and I took the front with the ZTR. The 8 year old wanted to use the reel mower. Made it about 50ft before he said nahh

I've neglected my lawn so far this year due to work which is a shame since I seeded it with Princess 77 when I moved in. I need to get a post emergent down ASAP.

Ronk or Craw, would temps right now be good for Celsius or is there something else that would work better until it warms up another 5-10 degrees?

Also, is everyone just biting the bullet with a backpack sprayer or is there something else I can use to spray 15k sqft? I don't have a tractor mower or 4 wheeler to pull a tank.
