I’ve watched some YouTube videos and so far I’ve narrowed it down to the roborock or wyze. Which do you recommend and why?

I’m open to all suggestions except roomba… we’ve had 2 and neither has held up well.

We’ve had a Neato for several years and it’s awesome because it maps out the room. Other brands do this too though. Battery life is about 2 years and we run it once per week.

We’ve had 2 roombas and just bought a Wyze. Had it for about a month so far and really like it.

Wyze has 3 suction settings, room mapping, and if it runs out of battery during a cycle, it will recharge and go back and finish on its own.

I actually just bought a Roomba i3+ yesterday for $400. It's back up to $550 today. This is out 3rd robot vacuum, so it's only made a couple passes around the house so far. Early results are good.

Previous models were cheap Eufy models and I was pleased with those as well. We just wanted one with the vacuum tower to automatically empty the robot.

Bought a cheap Sharp brand off Woot.com for under $100.
Works fine.

I’ve had 3 Neato’s over the last 10 or so years and have been very pleased with them. We run it every day and usually get about a year out of the battery. The connected series with the app is nice.

Got a Deebot ECOVACS 8Pro and it’s awesome.

Eta had a cheap shark and it did the job but banged into everything. This one maps the house and uses lasers and radar and shite to go around stuff. Pretty cool.

Eta2 lol

No opinion on the robot vacs, but I have several Wyze products and they are all great

I went through 3 Neatos in 2 years for repetitive and annoying technical problems. Their customer service kinda sucks. The vacuums got stuck a lot too.

We’ve had a Roborock S5 for the last year and a half and it functions much more smoothly than the Neato. The app is also great. Would buy another if it broke.

Do you use the mopping function on the s7+? How is the auto-emptying?

I've been looking at those as an upgrade.

Shark works great. Have 2. One for house and one for office.

Not really, it basically just drags the mop pad around while it vacuums. It does know to pick the mop up on carpet. I've only filled the mop tank once.

It is pretty amazing, I haven't emptied it yet and it's been running since early December.

It runs every weekday and has only gotten stuck a handful of times. The mapping of the house is pretty cool. The robot always know exactly where it is. My previous robot was a dumb Roomba so this was a huge upgrade. It doesn't bang in to everything likey previous one did.

We have the mopping feature on the S5+ but honestly I've never used it. Good to know the auto-empty is useful. We are moving into a two story house later this year and assuming the S5+ still works, I will probably put it on the second story and buy a new S7+ for the main floor.

I’ve had the Wyze with the mapping feature for 8 months now and it’s been great. The app is very easy to use as well. It routinely goes down to < $220. I got mine for $215 last July.

A no brained at that price, I keep telling myself next time I’ll buy another one for the back half of the house.

I have had two roombas as well and got a Yeedi Vac Station self emptying vac and mop.

I just like the fact that it maps the house and I can set boundaries and all vs the old roombas. Never heard of the brand before but got it for Christmas and it's working well so far.
