I found these seeds in a cool whip container in my Grandparents shed when we cleaning stuff out
No telling how long they were in there, decided to plant some to see what happened
I’ve tried to ID using an app, says it’s okra but I don’t think those are okra seeds
TIA

Looks like Rose of Sharon seeds. Not 100% on that.

could be a variety of Hibiscus

I've seen those pods before...the plant leaves look like fig leaves.

The plant material in the container is definitely not okra although it appears the seed pods are very similar to how okra seeds are formed.

Beautiful red bloom, how tall? Is it some kind of hibiscus?

It had opened all the way up when I got home
Not tall at all
Some type of hibiscus, still trying to figure out which one

It’s beautiful, no wonder they kept the seeds.
