Mulch washing away after rain, what about thin netting to stop it?

Just did landscaping and noticed mulch washing away. Don’t think mulch glue is going to work. Has anyone tried landscape netting? I have dark brown mulch and was looking at putting it just on the edge of the bed to stop it from washing into the trench to create a clean edge so I can edge with my trimmer. Thoughts?

Why would glue not work?

Inside your trench dig a 1”deep trench along your border and tuck your mulch into that trench. It’ll make crisp lines so that should help.

Another reason I prefer to use pine straw as landscape mulch…….it stays put.

Not saying it wouldn’t work just read reviews saying it worked sometimes but sometimes it didn’t. The netting I’m looking into getting is very thin and wouldn’t be noticeable. It would be guaranteed to work.

Pinestraw or cedar mulch. The cheap shite floats away.

Think I’m done with mulch at least the crap 5for 10 bags at Lowe’s. Looks good for about a week. I just bought bags of topsoil/garden soil and spread on top all over the beds this year, lot of wood in those bags anyway. Looks good.

Always had Mulch wash onto my driveway and path.

Redid the front beds with grade a cypress bark.
shite doesn't move and will keep its color longer.

16.99 a bag at louisiana nursery.
Worth every cent.

You can plant a border with a spreading groundcover (like liriope or daylilly) to keep mulch in place. On really steep slopes I’ve put mulch on top of an erosion control matting and that worked pretty good.

Mulch glue. Go to www.bdcbrands.com and look for Dominator Mulch Anchor. It claims to last 6-12 months. I’ve never used it, so I have no clue if it works.
