if you can’t find one (there’s plenty of places you can order from) walk out into the woods in the spring and you’ll find them, white/slightly pink blooms. Very easy tree to transplant

I know where there are tons of them off 59 near fontainbleu HS

I'm tempted to tell you to come dig mine up. I'm getting tired of mowing around it.

I got it at Ins and Outs in St Francisville a couple of years ago. I'm pretty sure I've seen them at Lestrape's before as well.

Straughn’s nursery in Loranger had some real nice ones a few weeks ago. Go check them out.

If there are a lot of cedar trees close by I wouldn't bother with it if you want the fruit. Visit me the last two weeks of April and you can have as many as you want. Probably had 600 lbs rot on the ground this year.

Agreed…if there is a cedar tree within 1/2 mi it will never bear a fruit. I just cut mine down after trying for 15 years.

Every January the state sells native trees for two dollars a piece at FSA offices in certain areas. They always have mayhaws. Cedar rust is a real thing too.

Awe hell. There's a cedar tree about 200 yards from mine.

I Paid $20/gallon for them a few weeks ago, the lady had 3 chest freezers full and sold out already

Is there anyway to get them to bear fruit?
Ours has been in the ground 6-7 years and bears very little fruit.

A second tree would help. Does it have lots of flowers?

If you spray them they will be just fine. I have 140 of them and they do great when sprayed and I have cedars all around my place.

My trees are young and I gathered 20 gallons this year only losing about a pint of fruit. Last year I lost every berry due to cedar rust.

The website has a lot of info as well as a where to buy section.

Honestly don’t remember but leaves are brown in spots so I bet it’s got rust. Second tree ain’t happening, ready to cut it down.
