costco will take mattresses back I went through a few there but moving a king by yourself is a damn pain in the arse and a short bed truck didn't help Mrs Cracker wanted nothing to do with moving mattresses.

We've had a Saatva for almost 5 years. We got the medium firmness and it's started to have the indentions in the pillow top. It's still amazingly comfortable, but it's starting to get where you have to position yourself to be fully comfortable due to the valleys.

We hit up a Mattress Firm a month ago and went with a Sterns & Foster which was hybrid memory foam and spring (I think its the luxury Sealy brand). Id recommend it as 1) they were not pushy and were very educational and 2) they have many of the brands already mentioned here where you could test yourself.

We’ve had good luck with the Zinus brand off of Amazon. Very inexpensive but we think they’re very comfortable.

I have a sleep number split king thats about 4 years old, has adjustable frame, responsive comfort adjustment, monitors your heart rate, breath rate etc. during sleep.
It is about to go up for sale.

I like my SleepEZ USA latex mattress so much that I bought a Roma for my guest room upstairs- and the in-laws tend to enjoy it.

We bought a nice Sterns & Foster a bunch of years ago that’s held up well. It wasn’t cheap though.

I’ve been on a foam for 8 years +, I dread moving it when I redo this room in coming months. Next mattress will be lighter. Maybe a hybrid.
