I need to replace my pillowtop mattress. I hate that it creates a hole where you sleep and looking for something else. So many name brands out there What do yall recommend for a good replacement?

We have had a Nectar for almost 3 years & still love it

I've heard great things about Nectar. DreamCloud is also a good recommendation made by the same parent company.
We have a Purple hybrid mattress that's about 3 years old and love it. Only wish we would've gotten a King size. It has the 2" polymer layer but I've laid on a 3" version and liked it a lot more. Some people don't like the grid but I don't really notice it.

We made the mistake of getting a sleep number bed about 4 years ago. Highly recommend against it. At this point we spent too much money on it to replace it so we just live with it.
We just bought my son a nectar hybrid. It's comfortable for a ~$6-700 mattress. Seems to be pretty good quality.
My wife used to have a Leesa Sleep before we were married. That bed was also comfortable, but softer than the Nectar. She loved it, but me at ~225 pounds needed a little more support.
For my money, I hear the new Tempur-Pedic mattresses have a lot to offer.

I don't think there is a clear answer. Everyone likes different styles. We just had a purple in an AirBNB and it was a bowl. We have had a sleep number for 10+ years and love it. It will be replaced by another sleep number eventually. It never turns into a bowl, you sometimes have to reset the number, and it re-adjusts the core bladder back full. No bowl, nice firm mattress with the pillowy topping.

?Helix Midnight Luxe
We this in King and love it. Also have a "cooling" pillow topper and some amazing sheets my wife bought for God knows how much. My bed is incredible
When we bought it 2.5 years ago, it was $800 cheaper though.

Don’t most people say to not overspend and get a good $500-$700 mattress and add a 2 inch mattress topper and call it a day?

No idea. If you do that get a latex topper.

Another vote for Nectar… for me you know you’re getting a quality mattress at a decent price…. Sure there might be a better mattress out there or a better “fit” but I don’t think you can go wrong with a Nectar

The reviews of these things are so close I don't know how anyone pulls the trigger. My wife bought a high dollar one locally a couple of year ago and it forms depressions where we sleep. We need a change.

My wife and I ate a thousand dollar mistake a few years after being married, when a thousand dollars REALLY hurt. It sucked, but we eventually had to admit we weren't capable of getting a good night's sleep on it. Some people hate the sleep number beds, but I love that you can keep the core of it constantly inflated. The main structure cannot depress, and theres enough foam encapsulating it that you do not feel the air core. My wife and I both like a firm mattress. I'd imagine if you don't sleep number isn't going to be your jam.
I know a few friends who tried them and hated them. I've tried Temperpedic and hate it... opinions just vary

We did the sleep # presentation last time. She was pretty put off by it.

We are on our second mattress from Original Mattress Factory (had a queen, upgraded to king). We got the kind without the pillowtop so that we can rotate/flip it to keep it from forming indentions. So far they have been wonderful.
