For the first time in my life I sprayed my yard with Atrazine before green up, the twice with nitrogen after. For the first time at this house, I have no VBW nor annual lespedeza.

I have somewhere around 30k sq ft of yard and been dealing with VBW for 4-5 yrs and I use MSM Turf. I'm in good shape both front and back ;however, it's been a lot of work . The pastures are a different matter as I just started on them last yr. I've put two applications of MSM Turf this yr and things are definitely much better except I now have a lot of crabgrass in my back pasture. I never had crabgrass before. Oh,well....

For a south LA zoysia yard, is it ok to apply any of these products on VBW with 90+ temps?

I wouldn't do a broadcast application. I've been spot treating doveweed with celsius in the patch of zoysia that I have and it yellows and stunts it for a few weeks. I've had the same thing happen with MSM.

Not as familiar with Zoysia, but I have been trying to wait until the last 20 minutes of daylight to spray so the temps are down.

I’m starting to see the small white flowers now in my centipede areas. I have just been pulling it by hand for a few years since it’s not a very large area. Have MSM and from what everyone reports that should work for spot treatment.

I know this may be blasphemy, but my centipede spots fight off VBW and doveweed sooo much better than my bermuda spots.

I just used MSMA on my Bermuda to kill crabgrass and did a light spray 10 days apart and it killed the crab grass (very slowly) but also killed the buttonweed. It scorched the Bermuda tops but first rain it came back fine and now it’s all just Bermuda and no crab grass or buttonweed. But do it light with it being so hot.

I have had it in my backyard. Was not getting it with regular sprays.

I looked at MSU agricultural site and it said Mansion was good at controlling it.

Remembered that I have a bottle of it. Mixed up a spray bottle with it and sprayed it all. That was last week.
Looked y-day and it was all gone.
