Installing a hot tub - what PSI?

On top of a new patio deck project that starts next week. In the quote, it shows 3,000 PSI on the paving, but I see some sites recommend closer to 4,000 PSI to support the weight. Would you guys recommend I pay a little extra for stronger pavers? The concrete guy said 3,000 PSI would be more than enough.

Why would you need more than 3000 PSI load-bearing capacity? Your hot tub filled with water will not exert more than 150 PSI.
Saying 3000 is more than enough is understating it unless I am missing something.

3000 psi is fine.

Appreciate you both confirming. Just articles I was reading....four inches depth minimum and 3000 PSI minimum and they were saying that could lead to cracking later.

Water weighs 8#/gallon baw. Add that to the weight of the tub and you got your number.

It's not a matter of the weight of the tub, it's a matter of how that weight is distributed.

It will not matter. We had some recent compressive tests fail and we hand-checked them. The actual required psi in a foundation is much lower than you would think.
Hell, I've gotten a lot of reports for 3ksi concrete that end up near or over 4ksi.

Also this. If it is evenly spread out for the full area of tub I wouldn't even think about it. If it's on a sled system that supports all of the weight along the perimeter I'd just add a shovel beam with (2) additional #5 continuous bars.
