You won't have 2k vet bills by using normal weed killer.

Just keep the pet out of the yard for a couple of hours. Once it drys it's fine for pets

I've had good success using the vinegar/water/soap solution.

Train your dog to spot weeds and pee on them.

There's a recent thread on this.

After using the $22-per-gallon 30% cleaning vinegar from Lowe's / Home Depot with a little dish soap I may never use Roundup again.

30% vinegar kills weeds like nutsedge that Roundup sometimes can't kill, and any overspray kills mold on your walkways.

The cheaper cleaning vinegar from Walmart doesn't list its concentration but it appears to be only 6% so it's probably useless as a weed killer.

I'm told that if you mix 1.5 Lb. of dry citric acid with water to get 1/2 gallon of solution it's about the same effect and a bit cheaper. Waiting to try that.

Our dog eats them. Along with Bermuda sometimes for dessert.

It’s not always pretty the next morning but is what it is.
