In all honesty, I tried worm looking poisons, pesticides, scissor traps, Juicy Fruit, flooding them out with a water hose, my dog, etc. They were unstoppable in my yard.

The best thing is to try to get rid of their food source....grubs...put bug killer stuff on your yard as needed to kill them...

But DO NOT tell your neighbors...you want them to have lots of grubs in their soil so the moles move along...
I know I was a bad neighbor....

FYI the scissor traps are crap.

I wish I could have gotten my hands on one of these Rodenator.

Insecticide you’re kill food source. Castor oil spray in flower beds or to create a perimeter around your lawn.

Traps don’t work.

I have woods next to me so I’ll never get rid of them, but routine insecticide use seems to help.

I have had good luck with those spikes you put in the ground that buzz or hum or whatever it is they do. 2 different times I’ve used them to run a mole over into the neighbors yard

I’ve had a lot of success with the scissor traps. Don’t mash the tunnels down is key.

My yard was overrun with them a 6 months ago. Saw this trick on youtube, it worked for me (or I just got lucky and they left).

Buy a bunch of juicy fruit gum. Walk around your yard and poke a hole in their tunnels, and stick a piece of gum in the hole. Cover the hole.

Apparently they are highly attracted to the gum, but their bodies can't process it and it kills them.

Cut my grass yesterday, not one tunnel to be found.

Just moved in to a new place a few months ago. For the first 2 weeks my dog diligently searched out and destroyed the moles. My yard is full of craters that I have to fill but hey, no more moles.

I don’t know. I’ve had plenty of success with scissor traps. There’s a bit if a learning curve on figuring out their habits and the best way to set the traps up. It’s darn near impossible to get rid of them completely, but between trapping and treating the yard for grubs they’re not a big issue for me anymore.

The biggest problem for me is that not only do they eat grubs, but they also love earthworms. So I occasionally find a tunnel leading into my garden. I set up the trap on their main highway and it usually doesn’t take long.

In New Mexico we used the garden hose at one hole and our dachshund at the other .....done in two shakes for each that came out. No more moles.

I had pretty good luck with the kill traps. One thing I would do is take skewer sticks and some tape and make little flags and stick them around in the tunnels to see which ones were active and trap those. Some tunnels are used primarily while others may get dug once and never used again.
