I'm preparing to treat my front and side yard with glyphosate soon. I understand that it dries within a few hours. If it rains the day after application, can I expect there to be a negative effect?

Next day rain shouldn't matter in my experience.

It's good and poisoned by then

You’ll be good. It only takes about 4 to 6 hours for the plant to absorb it.

Thanks. I want to do my first application tomorrow and with a chance of rain Saturday I was concerned with it being washed off and having wasted my time.

While on this question, is Round Up the same product as it was years ago, meaning a Glyphosate product? To me, it does not seem to work as well as it used to. Have the various lawsuits affected its composition?

Make an appointment with an Oncologist after you use that stuff.

Speaking of which

I was at Lowes the other day and couldn’t find any round up or weed killer containing Glyphosate

I have some round up from a couple years ago that has it but I’m gonna need more to fight off this torpedo grass I got

No, Monsanto has stopped using Glyphosate in their Round Up products.

It’s still available in plenty of other products, but it’s gonna be a generic version.

Bayer got tired of getting sued so they stopped putting Glyohosate in Round-Up last year.

Once it dries it's good. Use the 41% glyphoshate. Rate: 2oz per gallon of water.

The epa could not find any evidence that glyphosate caused cancer. You’re just repeating things that you heard from tv ads about class action lawsuits.

It no longer kills Johnson grass in my area. Used to kill it dead, but now, won’t even turn it yellow.

This is from CDC.gov website: “Workers that use large amounts of glyphosate products for long periods of time may be more likely to develop respiratory effects.”

Basically saying the same as if I attend an LSU baseball game that Livy Dunne is at, I may be more likely to take her home that night.

Also on that same page, “The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) classification for glyphosate is “not likely” to be carcinogenic (causing cancer) to humans, based on evidence from animals and humans.”

Yeah, if the epa isn’t hammering a chemical then you know it’s ok.

The EPA is also retarded and does whatever they are paid to do. The EPA claims plant food is a pollutant (CO2). Anyone pointing to a govt agency as the bastion of truth is just lazy and ignorant.

I'm not going to say glyphosate will cause cancer but it is something people should research on their own. Outside of the EPA here are some studies:

So I’m lacy because I didn’t do my own study?

The first 2 studies you posted were derived from the National Cancer Institute, which are…wait for it…the government’s cancer research agency Did you expect them to say glyphosate wasn’t a carcinogenic?

The third link is from the University of Washington, which is a public university that receives significant funding from..wait for it…the government! But I’m the lazy and ignorant one

Johnson Grass has become scarily glyphosate resistant. It alone could bring row crop farming back to the 90s. Mix it with glyphosate resistant rye grass and pig weed and the legal war against dicamba and it’s no telling what farming will look like in another 5-10 years.
