Getting rid of Flies

We have those black house flies all over the back patio and bushes/trees. When we moved in there was a dead bunny under the deck we discovered quite late (well over a year ago) and I assumed many of them originally came from that.
Well every summer they are now back and in full force. I've tried a few things:
- Some bait bag product advertised as being used by military overseas to attract and trap flies - not successful
- Incense sticks with repellent - not successful
- Pesticide spray you hook to the hose and spray your lawn/bushes - helps, but I can't exactly spray down patio furniture with pesticide and then sit on it/let my kid around it
We don't let the dog poop sit out for very long, and otherwise never have food or standing water etc.
Does anyone have any good methods to really clear your yard from flies? They seem to live in the bushes and trees.
I do have a dog and kid who play in the yard often but I'm ready to poison/burn the whole damn area over it.

I've seen an influx of flies lately also. I've normally seen them around when eating outside, but I expect that. Lately though, it's like they are around constantly. I can be simply sitting out back with a whiskey and there are a couple flies hanging around, not necessarily landing on my glass, just randomly around.

What?
Just about any strong odor will attract them. They will come in thick whenever I am grilling or smoking on the back patio. Other than that I don’t have too many problems.
Strong airflow is probably your most immediate relief. I have used the bags you fill with water that smells like arse and traps them. It definitely kills some but not really sure how much it really affects the overall population.
Get a bug-a-salt gun and let you kid go to town.
They have Backpack Sprayers that really work but they are expensive.

What?
Meaning I don't want to use strong chemicals since I have a dog and kid who play in the area - and was then sarcastic about burning everything down to get rid of them.
They are out there even if we are not grilling. I may get a fan to at least push air through where we sit.
The gun is a good idea - I'm game for anything at this point.

Find & purchase Quikstrike fly bait. A small amount will work - we filled up 5-6 beer caps with the crystals and have hundreds of dead flys around it.
It does attract the flys so put it close enough where it effects the area you would like but far enough that it doesn't effect the area you would like..?
The fly trap bags also work but you've got to change regularly because they put out quite the aroma..
Good luck!

Thanks, have not heard of that and sounds easy enough.
I did the bags, but likely didn't change it enough. The first time I some spilled on my hands after I put the powder in and I almost lost it, so I stayed away from it.

I didn't think of bringing in a company - but will it add to my options when all else fails. I'm not local to BR anymore but thanks.

step one is fill zip lock bags half way with water and hang up around the area. yes it sounds stupid but it actually works. something about it fricks with how flies eyes work and freaks them out so they avoid those areas.
secondly is mix pine-sol with water 50/50 and spray the whole area really good. it keeps wasps and horse flies away and also works on regular flies.

Thought you put pennies in the bag with the water?
