Garage opener remote doesn’t have any range

All 3 of my garage door remotes started to act up within the last couple of months. Outside of my garage, the remotes cannot open the door and has no range. If i can get it to work I need to be right infront of the door but only when I hold the open button down for a long time or multiple tries.
I tried changing the batteries and nothing helped.
Also the remotes for the most part work if I am in the garage for the most part. The wall opener that is in the garage (I assume it is hard wired to the unit) works every time without any hesitation.
What you think could be the problem?

You or a neighbor may have new electronics that are interfering.
Can be wifi, appliances, LED lights, some sprinkler systems, or anything that creates RF noise.
Could try starting from scratch. Erase old codes and have remotes learn new codes.

That’s what I read, I unplugged my Christmas lights and nothing changed. Might just wait till after Christmas to tackle this project

I had one remote for the garage when I moved in the house. It didn't work but right outside the door. I bought two off amazon and they work 100ft from the house.

This happened to mine and it was the circuit board on the opener.
Think it was a $40-50 part and easy replacement.

You can also buy a Chamberlain smart garage door opener for $29. Your garage remote becomes your phone.

I know when i swapped LED bulbs into my opener, my remotes in the vehicles and even outside the garage became relatively useless.

That's the way to go for sure.

If your garage lights are LEDs and they are on, it will greatly affect the remote range. If you don't have LEDs or they are not on, then this is not the problem.

There is typically a short section that. Is often just hanging out of the back of the motor. It looks like a spare wire, but it is not…that is the antenna. Be sure thst that wire is present and is not rolled up or anything like that.

I used to be able to reliably open my garage from 100ft away UNTIL I got a new car. Now I have to be almost at the door. If I hang the remote out the window, the range is fine.

What kind of car. Some cars have fancy windshields that block signals in all but tiny spaces towards the top of the window. If the car has built in homelink system it’d be best to use that.
