DIY home project suggestions?

If a fella was “bored” and was open to any and all suggestions for a home project, nothing overly expensive or complicated, what would be your suggestion?

Something always needs cleaning.

Do your kitchen cabinets go all the way to the ceiling? Or maybe do they need updated doors? If you can take a measurement, you can order the doors and paint/stain them.

Open a wall.
Paint walls, ceiling.
Build a deck.
Reconfigure storage in pantry, wall cubbies for spice storage.
Redo garden beds.
Without knowing your living situation, tough to speculate further.

Build a corner tree hutch with shoe storage and hooks to hang jackets, booksacks, etc to put by the entrance door.

If you have some basic wood working tools you can try building a cutting board.

my observation is people like new projects instead of maintenance. This applies to just about every entity and not just homeowners, fyi.
So make sure all the boring sucky unrewarding work is done before tackling a new exciting project.
eta, ignore everything I just said and build a SexDeck®

I like projects but nothing gets me excited like emptying my fridge and pantry completely, bleaching it, throwing away unnecessary shite, and reorganizing.

I just told the wife last week that it's time to empty the kitchen cabinets and scrub all the interior shelving. All my cabinet shelving is covered in white formica and it shows drag marks from pots and any dirt in general but cleans up easily with Simple Green and a scrubber.
When done, it looks like brand new.
Oh, and the fridge could use a good emptying and full cleaning too, but it's too full of food right now with getting ready for the New Year's Day meal and game day food to snack on with all the Bowl Games on tap.

I replaced all the old weather stripping on our exterior doors. Made a noticeable difference in the rooms it needed replacing. Also replaced two door sweeps that helped with that.

Based on this thread, I bet davyjones decided that he wasn't so bored after all.

If you are tech inclined and handy, bite off more than you can chew with a couple videos on the diy permanent Christmas lights.

No, I’m listening and I appreciate every response. But yes the tv is also on too. When I started the thread my intent was two-fold: on one hand I figured it would be an opportunity for some folks to air something they’ve probably done themselves (thus likely something they’re proud of); and in doing so I could pick up something that strikes a chord with me.
In other words, I’m thinking.

And checking expiration dates on things...never realized how long we held on to crap.
I'm all in on the expiration date is a suggested date but 2 years past due is a whole different ball game.

Put some flooring in your attic?
My DIY project is building a portable boat ramp (with 3" PVC pipe runners) on our lakeshore, complete with a portable tree winch system. I want to be able to launch my 350 lb or so 1448 Jon boat from any part of the shoreline on our heavily wooded lot. Currently painting the hull with Gator Glide. Fun project.
