Best fertilizer for my centipede lawn?

I’ve heard of, and have a bag of, Milogranite.
Last year I used Scott’s weed and feed.
I loved the color Scott’s turned my yard but I don’t want to weed and feed as I have the weeds under control.
Will Milogranite give me that deep, pretty green, or is there another option be it a different type of Scott’s or other brand?
Thanks!

Scott’s Turf Builder did wonders for my centipede yard!

Phosphorus-Free 15-0-15
2lbs Nitrogen per 1000 ft²
2lbs Nitrogen per 1000 ft²

Listen to this guy. 15-0-15 is best for centipede.

Stick with the Milorganite if you're just looking for a color boost. Less likely to burn, and near impossible to over-apply the nitrogen component.

Love the stuff but how do you deal with the smell?
Put this stuff down and my yard smelled like a cow pasture for weeks!

This. It contains iron which gives your grass the deep green color.

Follow Randy Lemmon’s lawn schedule for the best looking yard in the neighborhood.
15-0-15 is the answer.
15-0-15 is the answer.

per year... Don't do this per application

Is that similar to milorganite (basically WWT byproduct)?

I don't believe Jobe's is a waste product like Milo. I think it is plant-based, maybe soybean.

University (extension) recommendation on centipede is 0.5 (1/2) lb N per 1000 ft2 per application not to exceed 1 lb N per year.
The second application is not always necessary if you are happy with the look of your lawn. Remember, centipede is not as naturally dark green in color as St Aug, and over fertilization of centipede with excessive N to get a dark green color can lead to centipede decline over time.

I applied Scotts Turf Builder a couple weeks ago after it had been raining that day and then watered it really well. This was in the afternoon close to sunset. I am not seeing much results. Did I possibly rinse it away? Would it hurt to reapply or use a different type of fertilizer? My yard is centipede and St Augustine.

Wash away - doubtful. Give it more time to green up - 2 weeks is not that long. Much of the N in lawn fertilizers is slow release.

You can get liquid iron that you put in a hose end sprayer. Use this when it's too hot to fertilize but your grass needs greening up.

I usually use milorganite but switched to one Randy lemon recommended. Bonide premium lawn food. It worked excellent. Lawn is growing faster than I have time to cut it.

It doesn't smell like shite so I don't think it is the same type of product

I like 16-0-8 for centipede but your odds of seeing dramatic differences from using 16-0-8, 17-2-5, 15-0-15, etc are slim.
