We are renovating a bathroom and I’m still toying with different floor plans. There’s pros and cons to all of them, so I figured I’d rule some out based on costs. Is it costly to move a window over? The window is a single pane traditional old wood window. It’s 32” tall and 28” wide not including the trim around it. It’s in a brick wall (exterior of the wall is brick and interior isSheetrock)

This is your issue, I can guarantee you this is going to be one of your more expensive options

Thank you. I figured, but thought I’d ask to be sure.

Yea this will not be easy to do and it will probably look bad on the exterior. Easier to brick that one up entirely and create another one .

Define a few inches. Will the old window space interfere with wall framing? Can you just put a bigger window?

Why not make it wider instead of moving it? far simpler.

It's not that big a deal, just need a good saw man to cut the brick.

And find additional, similarly colored brick to do the roll lock under the window, on the outside. Not gonna get that from the cut.

Unless the bricks are in a different pattern around the window? Due to it being being op, as said you best option would be just to widen the window but even that is likely expensive.

ya brick is a big issue, either block off the window and cover over it from the inside leaving the outside untouched, or leave the window alone completely.

your best bet its to treat the window as an immovable object
