Had one outside the window of home office yesterday pecking at the American flag. Got two feeders out yesterday. I have a sparse population. I blame not enough trees

Went home for lunch and saw new birds. I went ahead and upped my feeder count to 5.

They are on the move now. I have twice as many at my feeders today than I had yesterday.

Its new birds every day or so, when migration is on. Hummingbirds are total individualist, meaning they done travel in pairs, flocks or groups. Each one is on its own to feed, roost or travel. That's why they fight so much.

I spotted them about 3 weeks ago and hung two feeders. Some days it’s a free for all and others are more quiet.
Enjoy watching them with my morning coffee.

I officially have a swarm now. Hard to get an accurate count, but it's easy to count a dozen at any one time. May go to 8 feeders soon.

Seeing at least 12-15 swarming at once for a few days now. Lot of competition on my 3 feeders. Some fight it out, even saw a chest bump. Will add another feeder.

Also, I’ve notice some peeing. Just a tiny drop glinting in the sun. Having to refill my cheap little feeders daily.

Also notice a couple of bullies. Wish others would kick its butt. It perches above the feeders and aggressively chases others away. Almost want to get my BB gun out to settle the issue. But he’s a returning bully from last season so he’s kinda an alpha favorite.

NOTE: I live In Wedgewood Sub off ONeal in eastern BR.
