What does it smell like? It almost looks like dill.

Marsh Parsley.

FYI: There is an app called "Picture This" that will identify plants. All you have to do is take a picture of it.

I just tried it and it correctly ID'd only 50% or so out of 10 I tried.

I thought my Zoysia was growing a fro, but now I'm concerned this is a weed. Thoughts?

Really?!? I'll be damned. Never had Bermuda sprout in my Zoysia. I don't even give an F anymore. If it's not weeds, a southern warm grass, and in my yard then it can stay.

Since you have zoysia you can use fusilade II to knock back the Bermuda.

At this point my backyard has become 70% zoysia, 25% St. Aug, and on its way to 5% Bermuda.

I have four dogs, a kid, and another on the way. The zoysia and Bermuda will probably handle the traffic best; which makes sense where the St. Aug is growing.

This isn't my forever home, so I think I'm just going to let them battle it out since they're all warm season grasses.

My only concern is mixing herbicides.

I like to alternate my pre-ems. Don't think there are any problems there.

I use Celsius when it's hot. Any issues there?

I use Image sometimes when I have abundant nutsedge and straggling weeds. I think this can affect Bermuda?

I fert with something like an 18-0-6 or similar. Should be no issues there.

Thoughts?

I don't see any issues with that program. I would use celsius on broadleafs in the summer. It works great.

No issues

“Image kills Nutsedge” is labeled for use on Bermuda, you might get some temporary yellowing of Bermudagrass and the other lawn grasses but that’s common in the heat of the summer - lawn grasses are not resistant to lawn herbicides but tolerant of them when label diections are followed.

How much 18-0-6 fertilizer do you apply per application. Though I’m not that familiar with Zoysia, it is my understanding it likes a lower rate of fertilizer similar to centipede so as to minimize thatch accumulation ( 0.5 lbs N/1000 sq ft, max 2 application per year) than St Augustine and bermudagrass (1 lb N/1000 sq ft, 3 to 4 application per year).

Carolina Geranium has taken #1 spot from Henbit in my yard. Fortunately, it's easy to pull.

Man, I honestly don't measure it out to perfection. I usually try to get a bag that covers 5000sq. ft. and cover the front and back yard.

I'll have to look but think my schedule is
April 15
Mid to late June

Nothing else popped up on my calendar.

That’s the right schedule for Zoysia (or centipede). You’d use 2 3/4 lb of an 18-x-x fertlizer per 1000 sq ft of lawn, to provide a 1/2 lb of N per 1000 sq ft. (divide 18 into 50).
