610 limestone vs crushed concrete

Has anyone used crushed concrete for roads. I’m repairing 150ft of dirt road by scraping it down, laying geotextile, and having a dump truck tailgate one of the 2.
I was quoted 3200 for 51tons of 610, delivered 3 miles down the road. Seems steep, but I’m truly clueless on rock prices. Was hoping to save some cash, but will pay the price if 610 is the better option.
The road won’t be overly used. It’s just an access road to a new apiary location, but when harvesting honey, I’ll be hauling a load.

Crushed concrete may have some more fines in it, lighter color, and pack tighter. Will certainly do the job.

yes it will do the job but it is very messy as a wear course. Every time it rains it will get wet fines all over everything. Limestone is the better wear course.
If you can find crushed concrete though it will usually be cheaper especially if it’s being crushed close to where you need it

I brought in a few loads for my lay down yard to save a few bucks. It’s ok but I ended up finishing the job with limestone due to all the metal mixed in with the concrete and sometimes you get a lot of sand with the load. Personally I’d go with the limestone

I used crushed concrete to widen 1 side of a driveway...basically a mud hole when it rained a lot. I had 2 separate loads delivered. One was larger crushed concrete limestone sized and larger...one was finer with lots of tiny particles. The smaller ones packed down better and the larger ones give more of a gravel look.
After about a year it's very firm...very firm.
Eventually I want to limestone the entire thing...I'm confident in the base the crushed concrete has made.
FB marketplace has plenty of suppliers...18 yards for $800...depending on where you live...roughly half price.

610 where I am is $54.50/ton. That's me picking it up. I would say that's a fair price with delivery.

Did you consider using RAP (recycled asphalt paving ) ?

I’ve looked at that, but reading on it, looks like I would need a roller to compact it? Not sure if that’s accurate.

Yeah it’s middle of nowhere so I figured it’s ok especially delivery.

Limestone all the way. I worked with aggregate for 30 years. There is a reason that limestone is more expensive.

If you already have a firm base you could maybe do 57 limestone.
610 has more “powder” but it creates a damn firm driveway that will in my opinion be a better driveway and you’ll be happier with it than crushed concrete.
