What is your 1 Mile time compared to your mile time during a 5K? 10K?
Looking to set some goals for myself over the fall based on my mile and moving back to longer distances.

1 mile around 10 min, 5k is an hour. I've reduced the amount of oxygen in the world taking a break between my miles by 20%. Once I did over 4 miles and went to go get a 26.2 sticker.

I'm working on my pacing but as it stands now I can run an 8 minute mile. My 5 k time is between 27 and 28 mins.
I just started running more regularly this year and I have only done a 10k once but it took me 61 minutes. I don't think I'll be going longer than 5K again though anything past that in one go is hell on my knees.

Four fifty something for mile and five twenty something for 5k give or take some seconds.

Average mile pace on a regular run is about 10:15.
Fastest mile timed is 7:00.
5k PR is 24:24.

At the peak of my powers I was about 30 seconds more per mile for a 5000 from my mile time. In high school it was 45 seconds. In my 30s it was about 45 seconds.....so I'll say 45 seconds.

1 mile is 6min and 5k is a tad over 7min pace

Jack Daniels has an equivalent pace calculator which may be helpful to you.
I think the dataset is derived from elite athletes, though, so I tend to fade a little more than projected, e.g., my mile time is about 15-20 seconds faster than projected based upon my 10k pace. However, I’ve found that it’s in the ballpark for things I’ve actually trained appropriately for.

Oddly enough, I've never run a mile for time, so I don't really know what I could do. The last 5K I ran (April) was at a 6:20 pace. My PR 5K was at 6:04 pace. I think the fastest mile split I've done was in that one at 5:39. I imagine I could get under 5:30 for one mile if I put forth the effort. But I really don't have that desire at this point.

Judging by some of the replies... I don't see a lot of posters that I'd assume are 50 or older, LOL.
Or either I need more cardio than I thought.

Never raced just a mile. 5k pace is 6:28 or so, fastest mile in that was 6:17. I would say just under 6 or so probably for 1 mile

My 5k pace is about 30-40 seconds slower than my mile pace.

I can do around a 6 minute mile.
I haven’t run a competitive 5k since cross country. I always run with my son or family so it’s a bit slower. That being said he’s run a 25 minute 5k.
Garmin says my best is 22:10 but I don’t ever remember running 3 straight 7:00 miles. So that might be me doing sprints.

I am....and could probably still whip all of these snot-nosed kids in a 5000.....if my knee didn't blow up first.
