I worked out at night for years. Usually 8pm-9:30pm after getting the kids to bed. I switched about a year ago to 4:45am-6:15am and I absolutely love it. I was very skeptical at first because I have always been a night owl. At the end of the day it's really about what fits your schedule and what feels right to you to give your best effort.

Just curious how do you guys workout at lunch?
We dont really have a time we have to take lunch. Im not hourly, my work is just expected to be done. I work downtown, so I am a 5 minute walk to the gym

So 10 mins of walking to and from, workout is usually 50mins-1 hour. 5 min shower

So at most I am taking an 1:15 lunch.

Yes I feel most with no kids are going to prefer evening time for training. I bet you would be hard pressed to find many with families that go after work. I know my wife wouldn’t appreciate it haha

All mornings. As others have said I control my mornings before about 7am when emails start rolling in, and don't know when I will be leaving most nights. Just easier to get it in early

I work from home and my gym is like across the street from my condo. I workout whenever I have a gap in meetings my dude. Preferably before I've eaten anything substantial.

4 days a week at lunch

Karate class with my son once a week which is a heck of a core w/o

Been trying to routinely workout on the other 3 days but life, wife, and kids get in the way.

Just curious how do you guys workout at lunch? How long is your lunch time? Enough time to commute, lift and shower? I wish I had this 2 hr minimum lunch time it seems it would take to accomplish this

I schedule for a 2 hr lunch (12 to 2) but normally only get 75 to 90 min. Gym is only a 2 miles away. Change in office , 3 min drive, 5 min recumbent bike warm up, about 40 min lifting, 10 min treadmill, 3 min drive, wipe down cool off with assistance of a fan and change in office and slam a protein drink, eat at desk between patients.

I'm not a morning person and my body only functions at about 70%
Capacity before lunch. So I swim 3 days a week at lunch and ride 2 days a week in the afternoon/evening. When I was still competing I would do the weekend morning group rides and I hated every minute of it.

Nope, wipe down and dry off with fan/towel. Put on slacks, more deodorant and undershirt, long sleeve shirt, and jacket.

No smell, no visible sweat, no problem.

Shower at the house.

Really does this seem all that wrong?

If you practice good hygiene and bathe daily then you shouldnt have any odor or look disheveled after a single workout once you have dried off and changed clothes.

I worked out this morning, which is not my usual routine. Made myself nauseous and felt like shite all day. Much prefer working out late and recovering overnight.

Midday at lunch. Eat at my desk while working after I get back.

Gym has a shower so I’m good.

Morning - I feel weak and tired. Bad workouts
Evening - often miss because I'm lethargic by the end of the day

Noon - perfect. Awake, fed, got some caffeine going through my veins.
