I’ve been doing hex bar deadlifts using the wrong handles? WTF

How hard can I expect next week’s deadlifts to be given that I will do them using the correct handles?

You are going to need to deload 20%

Just kidding, you will be OK. The lower bar makes the depth comparable to straight bar. Just start using those to get the full range.

The definition of condemn is "express complete disapproval of, typically in public"

It's essentially saying "you don't know what you're doing, my way is better"

I find it interesting that this one topic is the only one that turns you into a douche

Prolly because you are a douche about them. You essentially say I'm fricking stupid for doing them or programming them and so is pretty much every other reputable coach.

A lot of people love rippetoe and a lot of people hate him. I’ve always found his perspective pretty interesting. He also has several really well put together deadlift tutorials on YouTube, if you are unsure about form.

I think being stupid helps with the straight bar deadlift. I deadlift better when I turn off the thinking part and engage the aggressive part of my brain.

Man are you ever reading shite into this that isn't there. If there is condemnation anywhere, it's the lift. Hell, I did deadlifts yesterday. I still don't think anyone should do them, and I am still not condemning anyone that does them. I am looking out for their health. My way is better? I don't have a way.

If you use the hex bar, make sure you flip it over and not use the elevated handles. Those handles are cheating

Yet they elevated handles are used 90% of the time.
