Probably the Spartan Beast. 13 miles and 29 obstacles in the hills outside of Stephensville, Tx. I was 43 for my first one and 45 for the most recent one. The Spartan Super ouside of Burnet, Tx was shorter but just as hard if not harder. The terrain was worse. I am not a runner, built more for lifting.

Guess I'll answer my own question, LOL... at 45, completed the US Army 10miler and the Bataan Death March, which is a 26.2 miler ruck with a 38lb ruck. Both were done in the same year and overseas.

Warrior Dash at age 34. Loved every minute, wouldn't do it again considering one of the obstacle courses collapsed a couple years back and people had to go to the hospital.

Good god the endurance, timing, strategy, and exertion is taxing.

Spartan Beast in Tahoe. 6 hours of grueling trails, 4000+ feet of elevation gain, 30 obstacles and a 45 degree swim. I was sore for a week.

Tough Mudder when I was 21. I'd love to do it again

Aren't these races... spartan, tough mudder, etc., mainly team events?

I thought this was a Double Dare thread.
Toughest for me was Ironman Texas earlier this year.

It was the 10,000 push-ups in 1 month challenge posted here a few years ago (May have been the OT at the time). Completed 7,000, so not quite a success. I was 52 at the time.

The beer to mouth raise. Crack open beer, raise to mouth and drink. Burns many calories.

I've done all of my races individually. Some people do them as a team though.
