I just got back from having my levels tested, according to them the normal range is 350-1000 and mine came in at 327.
Going back tomorrow for another test tomorrow and should start TRT if results are the same.

Even if you're over 350 it still might be a little low.

My level was low enough that my health insurance would cover it.

Yeah I'm 33 and just feel tired all the time. I get around 7 hrs of sleep a night and never wake up during the night.
Look into a sleep study to make sure you don’t have sleep apnea.

Mine was at 349 and I was 46. However, my doctor told me at the time "I don't treat the number, I treat the patient".

What number are you guys looking at? I had a blood panel ran that was test / serum or something like that? I came back with a 284 ng/dL on that one......thoughts? 33

What were Estradiol levels? It's not just about Test levels
Posted on 4/21/20 at 3:29 pm to MyNameIsInigoMontoya
no clue, my test only had test serum counts. I got a bunch of stuff ran but I dont know what it means.
Only things that came back as abnormal was:
bun/creatinene ratio 9.9 (low) 12-20 reference
ALBUMIN 4.9 (high) 3.5-4.8 refernec
and bilirubin total 2.9 (high) reverence of .2-1.3)
I asked him to run blood work for test and hormones because I was always tired. I feel like he didnt do what I needed though to really know.

You can order labs without going through a doctor. You can order a panel though a company called LabsMD and print the order, bring it to any Quest location and get your results emailed to you. A lot of guys run the Hormone Panel for females. It doesn't do the breakdown of Test...just total test, so if you need to know more, you can order another, but it's pretty cheap and shows Estradiol, too. Here is a LINK

You specifically referencing the $75 one that says "both male and female order this one" ?

I usually get the Hormone Panel with Lipids or the Hormone Panel for Males. I just pulled up their site and realized their prices have gone through the roof though. These tests used to cost $100 max. The hormone panel for males is $319 now!!!! frick that.

Test today put me at 367, so I have to wait until tomorrow to get the count of my "free" testosterone which they assured me would be low enough to start treatment.

What's the value for low free test?
Posted on 4/22/20 at 8:39 pm to bad93ex
My free test didn't come back because my sample had lipids in it and ruined the sample. I think I had Popeyes the night before. They started me on it just based on my other values.

Thinking of going to see my doc about TRT. About a year ago I started feeling absolutely exhausted, needing constant sleep, and suffering injuries during exercise. Found out my thyroid had ballooned to over 8 TSH. My testosterone had fallen to 178. My family doc mentioned TRT, but I declined at the time.
After getting medicated, my test peaked at 341 before falling to 292. I've grown tired of not feeling optimal, freak injuries and chronic pains, and inability to lose weight.

TRT is great. Personally I don’t see why any man 40 and up doesn’t get on some type of test replacement therapy. If you do just make sure to donate blood every so often to thin it out because in most cases it will up your red blood cell count causing it to thicken.

That is only if you are on too much TRT. If you have someone good managing your TRT, you should be just fine. The problem is you have dermatologist and others handing it out like candy and not prescribing the correct dosages.

Not necessarily for every case. A common TRT dose is just 100mg a week and over time it can thicken your blood up. It’s really an easy fix by donating and plus it helps save a life anyway.
