I can get 450 like 10 times with not a substantial amount of effort but I struggle to squat 225. Is 450 on leg press just average?

6’0 195lbs

Is that 450 on one side, so 900 total?

It's normal to be able to leg press a lot more than you can squat.

Ya I never work out abs because every time I do any type of crunches or anything my stomach cramps to the point where I can barely walk without triggering it and back day always seems to get skipped. So your theory is on point. I know that sounds like I’m a bitch but it’s the truth. I drink a lot of water too

A strong leg press is < a squat.

I mean it is strong for you but it's no where close to being above average in the strength training athletes.

I put like zero faith in a leg press gauging actual leg strength without actually seeing the individual doing it and confirming that they are getting decent depth. I see shite ton of dudes load up a leg press with every 45 in the entire gym and then start throwing dumbells on top just to barely bend their knees on each rep.

mean they probably get more benefit from loading and unloading all the wheels than they do from the actual leg press.

Yep, gotta open that taint.

I like it for deadlift cues and calves but that's it.

It depends on how deep you are going, which leg press you are using etc...
