Wife is getting me the Fitbit Ionic for christmas. Anyone have the Ionic? If so, what are your reviews? I've had just about every fitbit since they have come out and I like it

I recently bought the Ionic. I've enjoyed it so far. Combines some smart watch functions with the enhanced fitness tracking capabilities of a Fitbit. While it doesn't have all the smart watch functions of an Apple Watch, I think it represents a nice middle ground between a pure smart watch and a pure fitness tracker.

It has phone notifications, Fitbit pay, and allows you to store music on the watch, so you can pair it with Bluetooth headphones and ditch your phone when you work out. It's also water resistant up to 50 meters. There are some apps for it in existence already, with plans to develop more in the future.

Apple Watch.

My activity levels have been way more consistent since purchasing one. Not saying the Watch iss the only reason, but it sure doesn't hurt seeing some visuals and numbers every day.

What are your Move, Exercise and Stand goals on the Activity app?

Mine are: 650cals, 30 minutes, 12 hours.

I left the exercise one at 30 so I can just hit the stairmaster for 30minutes on my off days and still hit the goal. I usually strength train 5 days a week so I'll end up with closer to 90 minutes per day total on training days.

i haven't set any because im a PA and I'm constantly walking for 12 or 16 hours per shift so it throws all my numbers off.

its common practice for me to get 13-15k steps in a shift plus i go to the gym when i get off so my numbers are always higher from working instead of just days off and normal gym time

An old Garmin 15. Good for 5 hours and holds up well for Spartan/obstacle races that include mud.

Garmin 230. Fitbit ionic looks like it’s powerful and fitbit’s best yet. Just too ugly for me.

I have the Garmin Forerunner 235. The Ionic looks pretty sweet though.

does the "other" option in the workout area do a decent job of tracking lifting?
