if you have been following me in any of the threads I am on Keto and have done pretty good at it but I do have a plan to have a cheat meal once I hit my goal weight of 165. I am debating between a large meat and cheese pizza or a gumbo with white rice. Either one sounds delicious to me.

What are your ideal cheat meals?

Granted I’ll go back in Keto once I have my cheat meal and go into maintenance mode.

The 8th deadly sin:

PIZZA!!!! And beer.

I’m liking the cauliflower pizza crust, but damn I can’t wait for that bready goodness and the terrible carb hangover it will induce.

Largest benefit to counting macros... I had a pizza from Lit last week and still lost 1.3lbs. Thankfully they have nutrition online now. I've also planned to share a couple of beers with the wife during the game today. Don't do it all the time and still moderate amounts when I do because I know it's not the healthiest, but man life is short.

'Cheat meals' as we know it shouldn't really exist..and try not to let them make you binge. Estimate as best you can. That said sometimes you just gotta live life and enjoy a meal unencumbered. I like to call them 'free' meals - anniversary is a great example. You're out to eat to enjoy each other's company and, unless you have a competition coming up, that one meal should not make or break a diet. But it's still smart to be mindful and eat less earlier in the day. Maybe guesstimate some macros.

Cheat meals are for pu*****.

J/K, in 2 years I have had 5-6 cheat meals and they've made me so miserable and screwed up my BG so bad that I try to avoid.

I had Popeyes-probably 300ish grams of carbs! And another time I had ice cream. I miss pasta, but haven't cheated with it yet... Maybe that'll be my next.

By the way, when I started keto, I would have fathead pizza and calzones several times a month- this is why I haven't cheated with pizza. Fathead dough, cooked to brown and crispy, leaves me not missing traditional pizza at all!

Fathead is pretty good... but nothing can replace real pizza. That would prob be my #1 cheat meal. Not that Dominos or Pizza Hut crap. I like Tommy's and Commodores in Hammond.

I have 2 a week.

I build it so I can eat what I want on weekends if I go out with friends and/or with my wife. As long as I'm on point the rest of the week, the two meals won't do much.

Had chipotle shrimp tacos and ceviche last night. I use almost all my cheat meals on Mexican and Italian and maybe a burger now and again.

I’ve been making my own no carb pizzas. I just get some Italian sausage and cook it and break it up then fry some cheese of your choice in a skillet and put the sausage all around it. It tastes better to me than any real pizza I’ve ever had

Lit cauliflower crust is only cauliflower, eggs, and cheese. Easier to fit in than regular crust and I thought it tasted fine.

Has a lot more fat, just as many cals. If you're on keto it's great for that. But I don't care much for the cauliflower crust

I copy the Rock on Sundays and have two graham cracker peanut butter-chocolate sandwiches after my kids are in bed. It may not seem that big of a cheat, but I estimate it to be around 1000 calories with as much peanut butter as I’m slathering on there.
