We switched from Russell to Evo Shield this year for coaching. Gotta say...massive difference. At first the kids joked and asked if we had on women's shorts because of the length and side. They're definitely much shorter than the old coaching shorts. ETA a pic of said shorts

Reebok from Walmart. I think they're like $15.
Bought a couple of pairs of these to try out. I like them. Thanks for the rec.

Awesome! They seem to hold up really well. I've had some over a year now. Even if they fell apart tomorrow, for $15 I'm still not mad at it.

I like the Maamgic ones off Amazon. Generally $25-$30 each. I love the built in compression liner that has a phone holder and 5" inseam
I bought a pair of these. The fabric is nice and light. Almost too light in that I don't think the side pockets would be very useful for actually carrying anything while being active. But I like the feel and fit. And my phone fit easily in the compression leg pocket and didn't move.
My 2 complaints would be that the fabric does cling to my legs a lot and my wife commented that she could easily see the outline of my dick, which I guess could be good or bad, depending on the situation and if you are ronricks are not.

TLF and DFYNE have been my go to lately. Have sales pretty often
I like Vuori and Lululemon but I don't work out in it. Something about sweating in $60+ shorts and shirts. I wear them during the summer if we are running errands or just out doing something with the kids

DCG 6" is my go to for cheap shorts (from Dicks). I am 6'3", 190, may be long for you but they may have a 4-5"
DSG is my go to for gym and casual running shorts. I go a bit higher for actual racing attire, but it's hard to beat DSG for daily wear.

Whatever I can find cheap at Ross or Marshalls. I usually pay around 5 bucks plus tax.
