Caffeine decreases in efficacy the more you use it. Increasing caffeine intake works this week, but your body will start to see it as the new baseline, and expect that much stimulant the next time.

If you are getting proper sleep then I’d look at not eating carbs until you finish with work, having workout “snacks” (10 be squats every hour), and limiting caffeine.
My best diet for cognitive performance is
Breakfast: 1 Costco grass fed burger patty, two eggs, 2 oz of raw Gruyère cheese.
Lunch: 2 burger patties
Then anything else I eat will be post work.

1. Sleeping before 10pm, a must for me anyway.
2. Eat and drink water prior to any coffee. Coffee about 30 minutes after breakfast or with breakfast.

Sleep!
Enough and the right hours, if you can.
2025: 6hr per night avg, wake 4:30am
2026: 7hr per night avg, wake 7am
Huge positive impact. No afternoon dip (unless sugar previous evening).

You might be lactose intolerant. If you have a lunch high in cheese/dairy and struggle to digest it, you are spending a lot of energy in digestion.
This was one of my “crash” problems.
Before you say, “wouldn’t I know before now if I was lactose intolerant”, it can sneak up on you later in life.

We get two, 15 minutes break a day (outside of lunch) and I always make sure to use that time to get outside and walk. Has made a huge difference for me - it’s a nice reset getting out of the office for a minute and get a little exercise in.

Why are people down voting this? It doesn't get anymore clear than that.
I've had times where I got 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep and still felt so low energy I was asking people to clap.
I'm within the recommended weight range for my height, and my weight gain in the past year is because I started lifting.

I think exercising in the morning helps a lot. On the weekends when i don’t wake up and exercise I am usually dragging.
