I’m going in for a full physical in about a month, but my latest BP numbers from yesterday were 118/72.

Not bad for me since I’m getting old.

Last time I had full blood work run, everything was almost normal with total cholesterol around 140. The only thing slightly out of range was HDL levels, which was 36 mg/dL, but my ration of LDL/HDL was fine.

More importantly, though.

Bench: 315
Squat: 375
DL: 405
OHP: 225

5K: Running is for crazy people.

Are these 1RM’s?

Current 1RMs.

Squat was 405 and DL was 450 a little over a year ago, but I had to take it easy on legs due to a patella issue.

Looks good but the DL is a little low compared to the other lifts.

It is. Knee has improved these last few months to allow me to hit legs and DL more, though.

Blood work was normal with slightly elevated creatinine (hopefully just side effect of higher protein) last time.

Bench: Probably around 275.
Squat: 385-405.
Deadlift: 495-515.

I haven't done true 1 RM work for a bit and certainly haven't worked a structured deload to test when I wasn't a bit fatigued from the rest of the week. That's why the range on Squat and DL.

Bench, I moved 265 pretty easily recently, so I'm pretty confident I could nail 275 if I actually planned for it.

Haven't been to the Dr in a while and haven't taken my BP since the machine broke last year. The only things I know I have wrong with me are reflux and intermittent gallbladder trouble, chronic pain from an old shoulder injury, and my right knee started bothering me recently. My weight is up to 200 with the holidays, I need to get back down around 185.

I don't do 1RM any more. Right now I'm doing 20 rep squats with my bodyweight on the bar, and 20rep bench presses with 75% of bodyweight. My goal is 1.5X bodyweight on squats and bodyweight on the bench.

I should probably get a check up. For all I know I have a fricking tumor or aneurysm. Holidays got me fricked up. I fasted all day yesterday. Lifting tonight. Now that football season is over and the holidays have passed, I will work on eating better on the weekends.

If you want to see my lifting progreds, check out the daily strength thread. I have no idea what my maxes are. I don’t like to max out.

I think this is a realistic answer from someone who really does work.

Any time I see people listing absolute maxes they can hit right now, I get suspicious. Lifetime maxes, ok, I get being certain there. Right now, there are a lot of variables and another 10-20 pounds is a big deal in a 1RM attempt.

I know I’m strong, but I just don’t like to fixate on max numbers. Some days are better than others. Today I could max at 465 on squats and next Friday get stuck on 405. I just focus on working hard.

That's a big swing. Once in a while I just hit a wall. If I start struggling with something I should be able to handle, I'll change everything up and start from ground zero with something else.

Imma be honest. I got fat and didn't work out for like 2 months.

235lbs about 20% body fat

Probably can still get 315 as I did 275x5 the other day
Squat maaaaayyybbbeee 375
Deadlift 450?

Squat and deadlift would shoot up real quick as that is more CNS adaptation than muscle loss.

Getting old sucks

I've been rehabbing a meniscus issue and haven't been able to heavy squat for months
