Went in to get a new pair today. Neutral with cushion. Tried Brooks, Mizuno, and New Balance. I left with the New Balance 880’s. I’ve always considered New Balance a style shoe. Anyone run in them? I’ll put a couple of miles on them tomorrow.

So, Believe in the Run drug the Brooks Hyperion Elite. Say there is no energy return and Brooks says they're only good for up to 100 miles. Oh yeah, they cost 250 lol.

BHE Review

In other news, I bought the FloatRide Forever 2s to finish out my rotation. Looks like they fixed that upper. The first ones were the best everyday runner I've ever owned.

Man, I can’t keep up with all the Reebok versions. What’s your current rotation?

Reebok Forever FloatRide, Reebok FloatRide Run Fast, adidas Boston 8 are my current interchangeable everyday rotation.

Next % is my racer and the Zoom Streak is my track workout shoe.

Alpha will be my New York 2020 and Boston 2021 marathon shoe.

Nice. Love the BITR crew. So much I signed up for their Patreon

Would love to try the Reebok though probably a bit too minimal for my liking. I like a little more cushion underfoot.

I’ve been getting some pain in the ball of my right foot and it’s worse after wearing the bostons. May need a new race shoe. Looking at a few. Maybe Kinvara or oncloud flow. Haven’t done Nike in a long time but may look at the Pegasus. Anyone have any thoughts?

How tight are your shoes around your forefoot? You may just need a wider shoe.

Saucony Kinvara and Freedom have gotten great reviews as a daily trainer that can go up tempo (talking about the latest models).

If you want to splurge, New Balance is releasing the FuelCell TC tomorrow. Getting good ratings from reviewers, basically a Rebel on steroids. Speaking of, Rebel is a good choice too.

You looking for a dedicated race shoe or a trainer/race shoe?

Good question. I don’t think they’re any more tight than others. I’ve never needed a wider model but I’ll take a look

I’ve been using my brooks launch as my daily trainer and my Bostons as a tempo/interval/race shoe. So while I’d like a dedicated race shoe, a trainer/race shoe is fine. Thanks for the heads up on the others!

There’s a ton of really good up tempo daily trainers available and coming to market. These are the ones I’ve heard hype about, haven’t tried any though. My rotation is Epic React 2 and Zoom Fly.

New Balance FuelCell Rebel
New Balance Fresh Foam Tempo
Skechers GOrun Ride 7+
Saucony Kinvara 11
Saucony Freedom 3
Asics EvoRide
Asics GlideRide
Brooks Hyperion Tempo
Nike React Infinity Run

If you consider the Skechers the go run ride 8 have the hyper burst foam in it. It is billed more as a daily trainer. If you want something that is more geared to tempo/speed I’d consider the Razor 3.

I have not run in a pair of the Ride 8’s but plan to if I can find it at a decent price.

Nice! 10 or 11? I’ve heard the 10 is really good but have also heard Saucony’s new midsole foam is awesome.

10. The all black was only $60 so I used the money saved to buy a nice pair of shorts for the upcoming spring season.

Where'd you find them for that price?

Running wearhouse and REI. They didn’t have every size available though

I used shoekicker and runrepeat listed on the OP to help find the prices

Has anyone tried the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 20’s? The 19’s have been great and it feels like they are more true to size than the last few models (slightly bigger). I was wondering if the 20’s held to this.

Burt!

These worth $33? Was looking around at the Forever 2's and ran across these on the cheap.

I assume so considering this comment.

How's the sizing on Reebok? True? I'm reading most say go 1/2 size down?
