Yeah, half size down. That upper will need a break in. Will rub the tops of the ankle for the first 20 so wear the appropriate socks. Absolutely worth 33.

Well, actually $45 if I size down a half but still think it's a good deal. At least that's what I'm telling myself as I don't NEED them, ya know.

Burt, bought some the Adidas pureboost dpr'ss for 73 on Amazon. Gonna take your word on it from a few pages back. Shows to be 10+ ounces. I thought that would be a little heavy for your taste . Just looking for a workhouse of a training shoe. I may buck up and drop some $$$ on a nice race shoe before I do a couple 1/2s in the fall. If I like the Adidas I'm sure I'll wear them for my 10k next weekend. My brooks adrenaline GTS 19s have been a great shoe but theyve prob got 7-800 miles on em.

I love my pureboost dpr. I just got a new pair delivered yesterday from eBay. I paid $49 but would have no problem paying $70. I am able to do almost any sort of workout in them. I usually do slower to moderate pace in them.

Nice. I'll prob end up having to snag another pair of brooks bc it's been such a good shoe. I may go with some ghost 12s.

Has anyone ever ran in hokas. I'm seeing some pretty stellar reviews on the Bondi 6. Gonna go try a pair on tomorrow

Right on. Since they are going to stop making that shoe or did stop making them, I transitioned into the Reebok Forever Floatride Energy. Similar feel IMO but lighter overall. Hope you enjoy.

jkylejohnson,

I'm a pretty new runner and when I started I was fitted and got some Hoka's as my first shoe.

They are very heavy and bulky and I didnt know better. Very well made but just like bricks. Once I went to a other brand , it was a huge difference.

Adizero Boston based on the recs from here ..I've loved them since I put them on and they hold up very well , even on hot Houston pavement.

Like the typical 36 year old guy with an office job ...of course I wear the vaporfly 4% on race day haha !

I didn't get my first pair of real running shoes until May of last year . The brooks adrenaline 19. They've been good but I'd like to try some different options. About to get a little rotation going and also get a designated race shoe. I've been doing a lot of looking . Lol. Wife looking at me like I'm weird last night when I had YouTube videos of running shoe reviews.

Anyone run in Pegasus Turbo 2? I picked up a pair on sale to try as a trainer and maybe a 5-10K race shoe. I'm still planning to run longer distances in my 4% and Next%.

I tried the Peg Turbo 1, wasn’t a fan. Felt like the foam was dead and the toe box was too shallow. It’s a really popular shoe though, just not for me.

Got the pureboost in today. Took them for a little spin and def not for me. I'll prob keep them but I think my feet are spoiled from all the cushioning on the brooks adrenaline. I went ahead and just ordered the 20s on those. Gonna stick with what I'm comfortable in.

Well, the New Balance 880's killed my IT Band on my left leg. Need to go try another pair. I noticed that those shoes have a heel to toe drop of 14mm compared to my Pureflows 4mm. Perhaps that's what caused the issue?

Need a neutral cushion shoe to eat miles with. Maybe one with little to no drop?

Skechers GORun Ride 7+ Hyper and GORun Ride 8 both have around 6mm drop and get rave reviews. Hyperburst is supposed to be the real deal.

Otherwise for minimal drop I‘d look at something from Saucony with the new PwrRun+ midsole.

There is also Altra, but those are 0 drop shoes.

I’ve enjoyed my Skechers Razor 3’s. They are 4 mm drop, light and responsive, have the hyperburst foam, and have more cushioning than I remember the pure flow having.

It has been a year and a half since I’ve run in the pure flow, but it was exclusively what I ran in from the original version until the 7 was released. I could not stand the pure flow 7.

I’m strongly considering the Razor 3 or GORun 7+ as an Epic React replacement. Just not sure how the huperburst compares to React and if the Razor 3 can handle slower daily miles well.

I’ve worn them for long slow runs as well as up tempo workouts and they have handled each well. I’ve not tried the go run ride but have looked into it as a daily trainer. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before I try it.
