I have a 1Up. Great rack, no complaints.

1UP racks are great. They've also upped their game on their website for ordering replacement parts if anything breaks. You can completely rebuild them if necessary (teenage son backs into a tree...)

Has anyone ever used a 1UP rack?

I have owned Kuat and Rocky Mounts racks. I can get pro deals on a lot of racks, and I own a 1Up that I paid retail for.

Thank you. Ended up picking up a Kuat Piston Pro X for a good deal.

I had a 25 mile day and 29 mile day while on vacation last week. Did 65 miles today. Raised my seat post about 3 mm today and that seems to have solved a little quad overactivation I’ve noticed when switching from my old bike I took on vacation back to my current daily driver.

The boy raced out at Pajarito in New Mexico last weekend for the first of the Downhill Rockies series. He was living in his truck out West and picking up work here and there for trailbuilders and going to some events for his sponsors in Colorado. He finished first in Cat 1 17/18 and had 3rd fastest time of the day for all competitors.

We came out to see him for the race then headed back home on Monday. He stayed out to continue working and riding. Yesterday, while working on some dirt jumps and filming an edit, he had a pretty minor crash but separated his AC Joint. Unsure of severity currently, but trying to get him home to our good ortho to decide whether surgery is going to be best course of action.

Pretty bummed as its most likely going to knock him out of the rest of his "main" race season, but he's always come back stronger after an injury. Just have to keep the mindset right and embrace the prcoess.

my buddy got himself a grade 5 AC separation at Angelfire last weekend. surgery next week, no more mtb for him this summer.

My kid had a season pass for AF this year as well... hopefully we can get some more use out of it in the Fall. Poor guy is driving himself home from Santa Fe this morning with one arm in a sling. I was going to fly out and drive him back, but he insists he's fine and can make the drive.

Coming off a 5 day block. Legs felt tired but still hit all time power prs for 30 min ina zwift race. It was interesting sensations where the legs felt sore but every time I asked for more power I could find it. Reaching very good levels for me at the right time.

80 on the road bike this morning. Nothing too crazy, fast but smooth.

Following up on my inquiry a couple weeks ago, I ended up picking up a Coospo arm band heart rate monitor. Works great. Integrates with my wahoo and uploads to Strava. Pretty much exactly what I wanted.

Also started riding against HR eater than speed/time. Interesting new challenge that is definitely pushing me faster.

New Q for the group: how often are you replacing bibs?

Depends obviously but I usually buy 3-4 pair a year. Thermal winter stuff lasts longer as it doesn't get used on the trainer etc

Any lingering effects on the drop bar bikes? Numbness?

I was there about 4 weeks ago, but looking at my numbers, the two weeks following saw a power dip. I think I was getting a little overtrained.

Low mileage the last two weeks. A little let down from the gravel race cancellation and had some work piling up.

Last week was 65 miles on Sunday, tried to Zwift onThursday, but had to limit it due to soreness/cramps from weights earlier in the week, 63 on Saturday (hung with A group for a good part of the back 1/2). Did a Zwift sweet spot workout this morning.

I've been really in this for less than a year, so never.

I use some older, cheaper shorts/bibs that I used when I was a less intense rider on the trainer, and use Neopro shorts on the road rides. Bibs on the road aren't my thing. They ride up on me some. I haven't had to replace anything yet.

Nope not really. When I'm up on top of the bars or on the hoods that side of my hand hangs off in a way where there is very little pressure on it. Little pressure in the drops but not too bad.

Rode the mtb last thursday and this morning. i had to take a few breaks on thursday to kinda stretch it out but today was fine

Good to hear.

I’m going to start adding in threshold and sweet spot training and moving more towards pyramidal over the next few weeks. I need to maximize my benefit during time spent on the bike. Since no race is planned right now, the goal is to start and end with our A group at some point in the future. I was thinking the end of August, but that may be too optimistic. So end of September would be more attainable. I started with the B group this past Saturday then when they were taking a stop, A group came by and I latched on and hung in there for about 20 miles this past weekend... mostly hiding in the draft.

Hour in Zone 2 this morning on the trainer. I think I need to bump-up my time on these to see more Zone 2 benefits.
