Live sessions are fine but they do 5. Minute sessions with live riders fyi. If you pick one of the top few rows under classless and join the session you should have 5-15 riders in there to compete with.
You can also ride with your friends If you know their username.
I’ve enjoyed the hell out of it the last few months.
So only around 5 live rides per day, right? That's sort of what I've seen in the app. I do like the session rides and have been taking those this week at night. Last night there were around 20 in the one I joined. Seems like a larger schedule on saturdays. I did a live ride last Saturday around noon or so. I just wish the times were a little better. They're either too early when I'm getting kids ready for school or in the middle of the day. I wish there was an evening spot or two. I typically ride after the kids are asleep, so that is anywhere from 8:30 to 10:00 when I come out to ride.

Yea doesn’t look like a ton in that slot 8-10PM but there are more like 10 live rides a day than 5. I typically ride at 6amish so there’s always a live ride but I rarely do it.
Personally, I just don’t care much for live rides. Especially since I have the bike + and it auto toggles resistance throughout the ride. Do you have any friends that have a peloton? You can schedule rides with friends.

You guys have any favorite cycling specific body weight/dumbell exercise routines? Looking for a handful of exercises that I can do in a quick lunch workout.

i do a couple exercises with kettle bells (squats, swings, lunges, dead lifts) and planks.

Finally getting around to watching the 2021 Paris-Roubaix.
Mon Dieu, it's absolute carnage.

Enjoy watching Moscon pin it off the front to only suffer multiple crashes and flats.

Hit my weights and abs today. Got a hard hour ride on the trainer tomorrow morning because it’ll be too cold for a ride.
My goal is to get my HR at 150+.

Does anybody have any advice on Bib brands? My arse is killing me after every ride that goes beyond 90 minutes.
I was looking at redwhite and Rapha, but open to any brand.

I've got a pair of the Rapha core bibs with the cargo pockets. I bought them on a whim when I visited the store in NYC and they only had the cargo version and now I would never go back. They're super convenient, super comfortable and look great.
I've also got a pair of Specialized that feel more "race-y" if that's what you're looking for.
ETA: i did an 80 mile ride in the Rapha bibs without breaking them in and never came close to chafing or pain.

Hard to beat Rapha.
I've heard really good things about the KETL Canyon bibs on World Wide Cyclery as well, which are significantly cheaper.

I really like my Specialized bibs. Not sure what the price difference in these brands are though.
I think my next pair will either be Rapha or Albion though.

my team kit is cuore and i don't have any complaints.
but i prefer my rapha bibs and jerseys. the core line is quality stuff and isn't crazy expensive like some of the higher-end rapha gear. good luck finding anything in stock in your size though :-/

We now live on the Swamp Rabbit trail and just bought a double Weehoo trailer for the 3 and 1.5 yo. We have an absurd collection of older bikes but somehow are here on one of the best paved ubran paths in the country without a suitable bike for my wife to tow the kids (I'm sure I'll be towing them mostly but she is theoretically excited about it, especially at 4pm when they're being megaturds.)
anyway, I'm tired of buying used bikes--too much time and hassle, especially for this purchase and in "this day and age."
Anyone have any recs? REI has this one for $600 and we get the membership dividend. Free year of service. I like the step through for wife (no pics) because she isn't the most confident rider and is pretty short.

I skipped my 3-mile run today. I plan to do a hard hour on the trainer tomorrow. Hopefully I won't be as sore as I was this morning.

What is the interval protocol?
Posted on 1/26/22 at 8:56 am to crazyLSUstudent
Basic.
Here are my next few scheduled interval rides:
- 2 mile warmup, 8 x 1 mi at 19.0+ sprint and 1 mi easy, 2 mile cooldown
- 2 mile warmup, 6 x 1.5 mi at 20.0+ sprint and 1 mi easy, 2 mi cooldown
- 2 mile warmup, 6 x 1.5 mi at 21.0+ sprint and 1 mi easy, 2 mi cooldown
My goal is to do a century ride at 18.0+ mph, but more likely 17.0+ mph in early April.

Do you have a trainer? Would recommend getting one and hoping on TrainerRoad. Will make better use of your time and get you fitter faster.
Posted on 1/26/22 at 10:15 am to crazyLSUstudent
Yes, an older magnetic trainer. It's not able to connect to anything and simply provides resistance.
Posted on 1/27/22 at 9:06 am to Tornado Alley
I did an easy 45 minutes on the trainer this morning. HR stayed in a high zone 2/low zone 3 range. I have a thirty-miler planned for Saturday. I hope to average at least 16.5+ mph, but I plan to push myself.
