Wanting to purchase one in the next few days. Wanted to get some feedback and opinions on what would be the best purchase.

Our family loves our peloton.

All four of us ride and have had it for almost 3 years now.

I have heard several say the Peloton+ is not worth the extra money.

There is also workout content that isn't riding that is good too.

I loved my Concept 2 bike erg when I had if you're looking for a cycling style bike. If you're looking for a air bike, then the Echo bike would be hard to beat at that price for a belt drive air bike. The Bike erg is compatible with Zwift also.

We got a Carbon T10 treadmill from Proform in Janruary. It's been phenomenal for me from a fitness perspective. A critical part of it has been the iFit app on it. I'm at 197 workouts completed, 384 total miles, and 27,000 feet of elevation on it. It's been life changing for me. Friday I finished a 60 workout 5k training program. Guided programs with a coach, 30 through Vietnam and 30 through Romania that had me comfortable jogging 30 minutes straight at 5.5mph.

I am not sure I could have achieved the fitness milestones I have with a bike. I think it all boils down to personal preference.

My family would 2nd the Peloton bike. I was a little leery how much I would enjoy it, but ended up enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would.

Everyone I have spoken to said they do like the Peloton+ because they don't have to focus on adjusting the resistance. They get to just let the bike handle it. I prefer to adjust mine myself based on where I am that day

I got a water rower and have been doing it 5 days a week for a couple of months. It is really low impact and easy to do. I'm pretty new to exercising. So I wanted something I know I could stick with..

Bump, did a search for Peloton and found this thread. Thinking about getting one for my wife and I for a Christmas present. Are there any workouts/classes built into the bike, or do you have to go with the monthly membership to get that? Is there some sort of manual mode like on most treadmills/bikes you see at the gym? We've both been on a good diet for a couple of months and it is time to start getting more serious about exercise. Also thinking about a basic treadmill instead. I need to see if she would use one more than the other, and I wouldn't mind saving a grand if she prefers a treadmill.

there are severally classes updated daily and few different programs to do.

I was against getting it but i use it all the time now. There are strength classes, yoga, cardio too. The body weight strength is better than the weights but i find the weights class enough to replace the gym. I am not ripped or anything though

scored one of these off craigslist last month for $100 -

https://primofitnessusa.com/product/schwinn-evolution-indoor-bike/

figured i'd give this a go before diving into a peloton and see if i stick with it or if it just becomes a coat rack. so far so good. and fwiw you can subscribe to peloton for $12 a month, you don't have to have a peloton bike, you'll just have to adjust the tension manually if you want. there are also plenty of similar youtubes for free

Thanks. I ordered it last night and it will be here in about a week and a half. I’m at least going to get the membership to start with but also try the basic rides someone told me were on it. Got a spot picked out in my office for it and should be good to go at Christmas.

If you already have a road bike, get a smart trainer and a Zwift membership. If not, get a peloton
