What do you guys normally do as far as working out and counting macros on thanksgiving day?

We go out of town and will be at the lake so I get a morning run in and still try to keep it under normal macros

Personally, I'm making Tgiving week (my tracking week starts on Wednesday) a maintenance week, make Tgiving day a high day. Going to try to avoid too much boozing. Hitting up whatever CF WOD the coaches are putting up in the morning, it'll probably be a hell of a workout.

Eat the extra calories and get a few damn good workouts in that week. Try not to sweat it too much and enjoy time with the family. One week at maintenance calories won't hurt too bad in the long term.

I'm on keto currently.

We do steak for thanksgiving so I'll be fine.

I don't count macros. This what you work hard during the year for

I had a family feast Saturday and a church feast Sunday. I focused on hitting my protein by mainly drinking shakes. I didn't each much outside of shakes and the one big meal each day. I am on Avatar Nutirition so I set those two days as high carb and fat days. This was my first time to not strictly track in 3 months. I am sure I went over my macros but I doubt I did any damage. I really enjoyed those meals.

Dude it's Thanksgiving. Just take a day to enjoy life and not worry about what you're eating. One day won't kill you.

Thursday morning I will hit a good am workout. I’ll do a post workout protein shake or my protein overnight oats. Then I’ll have thanksgiving meal lunch.

So not super honed in but careful not to overshoot my cals.

I’ll eat copious amounts of bacon dishes for our annual “Bacon Bash” breakfast at my friends house.

Then I’ll eat a full meal and dessert at my Moms around 1.

Then I’ll do it again at my MILs around 7.

I’ll then finish the night off with sharing 4 or 5 bottles of heavy red wine.

Count those macros

There are certain days where you just eat whatever you want:

Thanksgiving
Christmas
Easter

As others have said, enjoy the day and eat some good food.

That may be the case for families that only have a single Thanksgiving, Easter, and Christmas, but many people wind up having many days of Thanksgiving and Christmas to go to various familial households and can easily over eat for 3 days.

Gotta watch the macros.

I’m just going to stick to mostly meats and minimal sides.

Yea the only thing I worry about is making sure my pants don't fit right by the end.

Op worry about weekly macros. Eat what you want on Thanksgiving and make it up the rest of the week if you must count.

We kept it pretty low carb. My mom is already a low-carber and I've even indoctrinated my mother in law. She made almond bread dressing, swerve cranberries, and low carb pumpkin pie. We made loaded cauliflower mash "potatoes."

It's the beer I have to watch.
