that seems crazy. does the doctor know what he is doing or just writing the script and you do what you want?

any concern with taking testosterone and it causing aging? I probably look 10-15 years younger than I am. I am concerned that if I get on T it may cause me to start looking like an old fricker. full head of hair, very few grays, great sex drive. Only reason i would take it is for low energy, gain a little muscle mass, and trouble focusing. Most of my tests have been in the 300 total range and around 73 free. I suspect I have probably had Low T most of my life as i had fertility issues. TBH I would prefer to stay looking young as it has alot of benefits and just deal with the low energy. I have searched around but really cant find any info on this specific thing. My doctor would like me to gain a little more muscle mass but said that its unlikely I would with my testosterone at current levels. Im not big on taking medicines but if it would improve my quality of life I would like to explore it or at least get some advice from some professionals on what they think.

Test does cause aging. It turns people into a crawfish man Joe rogan lookalike

OP you need to quit eating carbs, lose 40 pounds, and go to the gym every day

Anyone had/ have issues with irregular heart beat while on TRT?

I'm going to get off of it for a while (if not, completely). I've never really been able to balance out my hormones, and seems like there's always some sort of side-effect. But this one feels serious enough to raise serious concern. I mostly notice it after sex - feels like my heart is going to beat out of my chest and can't catch my breath. I do find myself taking much deeper breaths as well. What's weird, is that I can run a few miles and not feel winded at all.

@777 - You'd posted something a while back about TRT not being related to heart issues. Have you heard of anyone having this sort of side effect?

nope because its nots related.

you understand that the test you are injecting is bio identical to the one you produce yourself and you are in the exact ranges that are normally produced by people your age....atleast if you are doing trt correctly.

get a full panel done.

sounds like your wife is just really good though if she is taking your breath away.

i have heard of trouble breathing on tren and other compounds when taken to extremes but not test.

777, what’s ya thoughts on these labs. This is my first check since starting. 140mg/wk split into 2 doses (mon & Thur)

Total T went from 289 to 975 ng/dl
Free Went from 60 to 149 pg/ml

She’s already threatened to dump it all down the drain

What about the free test value? Any room for improvement there?

Every wife has done that. Once your body adjust to the new normal it gets better and they’ll appreciate it.

You could try taking some DIM to help increase free testosterone. But you’re probably fine where you’re at.

would love to see the free test up around 200 pg/ml if possible

scale for most males 19-49 age group is 35-225 with 150ish considered good. We want to be optimal if possible so we want that around 200.

would like to see you on 9-12mg of Boron and see where you are at for next test

but i will say you should see huge improvements across the board compared to where you were

Awesome. So you’d take boron rather than going up to 150-160/wk?

Question regarding the measurements they use for free test… when you see someone recommend a free test from 20-45, that’s being measured in ng/dl, right?

ummm i dont believe so

normal range in ng/dl would be 1/10th of that reading in pg/ml. so 200 in pg/ml would equate to 20ng/dl or 0.2 ng/ml

correct. ideally your % of free would go up and your total would remain about the same as you have it now. ideally our free test would be 20% or more of our total test. that is optimal. higher the better.

Figured I'd jump on this thread. Took the plunge today. Tested 234 and 306 total T this week. I used to be very active doing triathlons. But when I stopped, I just can't get motivated to do anything. I'm tired all the time. Admittedly my weight is high because of terrible diet and lack of consistent exercise, but I am never motivated to work out even when it's in the garage. Stressful day and I just want to do nothing. Hoping to see some changes over the next few months. Started back up in the garage gym and joined a BJJ gym along with TRT.

My local clinic us ~$70 a week for in clinic injections. Does that sound about right. I can't really gauge what the cost should be with all the different online sites putting out their advertisements and whatnot.

I might not be looking at the same test, just got some numbers. Total test is 508ng/dL, and Thyroxine Free (free T4) is 1.15 ng/dL. I guess in pg/dL that is 1150 which maybe relates, or it's just something different than what has been posted here for free test.

I'm 45.

Nahh that’s way high. There’s several online clinics that charge around $100/month. Just do your own homework and don’t completely rely on their cookie cutter protocols.
