If you need knee sleeves, Hulk, I put some back on the rack.

Blue have both 7mm and 5mm in XL, L, M and S
Black and USA have both 7mm and 5mm in L, M and S

I do have XL in the Black and USA but I didn’t have them with me yesterday.

I have some Nordic Lifting knee sleeves. I typically only use them on heavy squats or snatch days, but i need to start wearing them for lunges too because my knees get torn up as hell.

So I did all sumo DLs for yesterday's WOD, and yeah, I'll be doing nothing but sumos from now on.

I assume sumo isn't allowed for the games, but I don't care

It is much easier on my back

Not everyone’s feet placement on squats is the same.

My feet placement is wider than most and I sometimes fight going too wide on snatches and cleans.

This was more of my point. I'm also slightly pigeon toed, so I squat with my feet facing straight rather than most have theirs angled out. My point was, I was obviously familiar with the squat seeing I was doing a lot of weight. Still, he had to make a comment about something that I could've easily out lifted him on.

Want to give me tips on muscle ups or double unders fine, but I know how to do the basic stuff.

I am so much better at Sumo. That's how I lifted in powerlifting. I cannot always get away with it at the gym, and basically have to ask for permission. I totally get why. There are things about regular that you need for the other lifts/movements that Sumo isn't great for.

Traditional DL in CrossFit unless they specifically are called out. However, I’ve never seen Sumo DLs in a WOD.

Sumo DL high-pulls, yes, but not Sumo DL.

If you have very strong legs, you can pull more on Sumo. If your back is strong, traditional DL. It’s a matter of preference. If you are a powerlifter, either lift is acceptable.

i see a lot of people do a lot of weight with bad technique. I know a couple guys that are pretty good coaches with Olympic lifting knowledge that weigh about 145 pounds.

Some guys just out of HS started a GCF a few years ago and we were doing a strength portion before the WOD. It was squats.

Coached asked him what he was working up to and he said he squatted 405 in HS. When he was warming up, his 225 lifts were terrible form and his depth was shite.

No way in hell he hit 405 in HS.

The OT is like HS: Everybody is squatting 405+ and benching 315+.

Finished DT yesterday afternoon. Time was 18:36. The last round took me over 5 minutes.

Last time I attempted, I scaled to 135# and finished in 22:30.

...so, improvement.

This year is the first year our box is doing a "friday night lights" thing. Getting pumped for it.

I struggle with the mental aspect of doing a WOD that long. It's a fine line, I suppose, between going Rx or scaling for intensity, and maybe getting closer to 10 minutes.

I did RX yesterday. Pretty sure the weight had little to nothing to do with my terrible time. It was those three 500 meter runs. I have always sucked at running. I mean, maybe using the 35 instead of 55 lb kettle bell would have made me run faster? Dunno.

This board seems like that too, although it seems like maybe 5 or so guys in here are just fing huge and lift a ton.

I finally got back over 225 on squats and i feel great. Everyone else around here is repping 315 10 times

Well, squat is my one and only thing, so I have gotten better faster there than anything else. I got 295 5 times yesterday. I could not dead lift 295 to save my life.
