I saw that on instagram. Dude is freaking a beast. No way he is losing the next WSM especially with Hall retired.

I not get the Thorb dick riding. Benni has been doing that weight since he was 20. Zydrunas and Shaw are still there. Hall was an anomaly.

Not that impressive when the dude weighs 400 pounds.

A 200 pound guy deadlifting 600 is more impressive IMO

Dude that's not how it works. You only approach 1000 pounds by putting on serious muscle which is why he weighs 400 pounds.

As someone who has deadlifted over 600 pounds, I am more impressed by this guy JMO

Thanks. That was my bucket list lift and did it but lifting a grand is pretty legit too.

Strength is not linear. I dunno why people think this. A 3x body weight at 150 is not as impressive as 3x body weight at 300.

Used straps, not legit

Whatever though, that was badass. In the 1000lbs club using one exercise

Thor and Shaw are my two favorite current strongmen. I met Shaw last year, super nice guy. He took the time to answer a couple of my questions even though there was a long line of people behind me.

It's linear up to a point, but after that, no fing way.

Exactly. The bodies natural leverages can get you to a certain point and then you rely on total muscle. Muscle can only get you so far.

No it's not. I'm 200 and closing in on 600. It's strong, but someone lifting a grand is amazing no matter what you weigh. This man is not obese. He has muscle on top of muscle. You can damn near see abs when his shirt is off. Don't discredit something like that.

If I could make a recovery from my injury back into strongman, and what would be the best course of action. My brother got it on video on me, it was a good three minute response from him. I was very excited to say the least, like a kid meeting his hero.

I hate watching these vids sometimes. Here I am so proud of myself becasue I can deadlift over 500 and then these guys just do 1000. Like, what the hell?
