I squat in Reebok Legacy Lifter II's. Picked it because I found the best deal on it at the time. I have to use the higher heeled shoe due to mobility issues and back pain. I end up using them for DL's as well since it's just what I wear when in the garage-gym, but I should probably just use my Nano's which I never wear now that I haven't been doing crossfit.

Barefoot when possible. I work out in Merrell Trail Gloves.

I think this is another gym thing that people went to for on. If you not in powerlifting territory it won't matter much. I mean don't use your 15 year old shoes you cut the grass in.
I currently have some reebok Nanos and had the Nike metcons before. Both are good enough to squat and a little cardio.

I've been going barefoot. Definitely better than flip flops.

Chucks have to be the most uncomfortable shoe on this planet. I don't know why people keep sucking off these shoes. If you're lifting in runner's right now, tells me you just need a basic shoe to lift weights in. Go on Rouge and find some there. They'll all have a relatively flat profile and you'll be able to wear them for more than just SBD.

I bought some Reebok Nano's 3 years ago and they are holding up better than any sneaker I've ever had. I pull and squat heavy in these with no issues.

I wear socks in the winter cause basement floor is cold. Sometimes I work out in my fuzzy slippers and just kick them off to squat/deadlift :)
