When I ran a lot I got lots of blisters, especially when it’s hot and humid. They make blister bandages that cover and heal the blister. Don’t use a regular bandaid or you’ll cause blisters on the toes next to it. The ones made for blisters are a life saver. You won’t feel anything and it stays in until the blister is gone.

I’m focused not giving up this time. I failed to mention im an avid bow hunter and this weight has forced me to miss this hunting season. The kind of hunting I do requires a lot of hiking with 30lbs of weight and climb 30 feet up in the tree. It’s very physically demanding.

How's today looking for you? If your getting your hour walk each day, how are your feet and legs holding up (with the squts too)? How's the eating going?

I'm struggling to get enough calories. I just finished dinner and I'm right at 1100 calories or so. It's harder for me following a 25 net carb restriction. I can't just stuff 1k calories of cheese down my throat. I've got about 15 carbs left for the today so I'll make a protein shake with milk and end up around 1500, 1700 if I'm lucky. I feel completely sated too.

Lots of soreness in legs and some pain in the back of my right knee. I’m currently doing the squats and lunges with no weight. As for the diet, it’s been hard to get 2000 calories Im just not hungry with eating really slow. Im usually around 1500 calories a day. My water intake is about 8 (16 once bottles of water a day). I already feel some weight coming off. I have a stationary bike but I can’t use it. I’ve tried numerous seats, it messes with my prostate after 10 minutes of riding my junk goes now numb.

Walking or riding is fine, walking is better than stationary bike, outside riding a bike is better than both imo

Unless

You are one of those street bike guys who wears a uniform and holds up traffic…..that shite has side effects and makes you turn into a cock sucker

Just messing about the road bike, they just drive me crazy with holding up traffic

Just get some activity in is the main thing. Walking is very therapeutic for the mind and is the most basic thing we need to be able to do.

If you aren’t hungry that’s fine, your body will tell you when you need to eat, atleast for now. Just prioritize the protein first in each meal making sure you finish that atleast. And yea it’s freaking crazy how eating slow like that makes you eat way way less.

On the lunges, try and do reverse lunges, should shift emphasis to the hamstrings and glutes some.

Also try walking backwards some and lean wall tib raises help too.

Start looking into knees over toes guy on YouTube while you continue on this journey. In the end based on what you are describing, what you are looking to accomplish and what your hobbies are….. that’s the direction you will need to head in over time.

The biggest thing is to just hang in there. That's my biggest struggle sometimes - quitting when it feels too tough. You're doing lunges in addition to squats, good for you. frick lunges.

I've lifted in the past and I squat better when I actually have a little weight up top, even if it's just the bar. My ankle and hip mobility is stiffer than a hard dick. I think the weight helps push me down into hole. I think after next week I may add the bar. The air squats are a mess for me.

That’s funny. The lunges are tough. As for the diet I’m no watching carbs just eating smaller portions. No fast food, sweets or cokes with sugar.

Posted this in the InBody thread, but posting here also.

Had my first scan today. Did a scan before and after my workout. The machine my gym uses is a Styku, it's definitely impressive (and slightly discouraging) seeing the 3D scan. That thing takes all sorts of measurements, but it only gives fat mass and fat-free mass. Doesn't give the lean muscle percentage.

Pre workout:
247 lb
34.6% fat
85.4 lb fat
161.6 lb non-fat

Post workout (and consuming 32oz water):
244 lb
33.8% fat
82.5 lb fat
161.5 lb non-fat

I have a LONG way to go, but I started 11/4/21 at 280 lb. So down 36 lb in 11 months.

Update #1
285.0… I know this is more weight loss than recommended. But I do drink 8-10 bottles of water a day. I’m happy with the 5 lbs. of weight loss this week.

The walks have not been very difficult. Soreness in legs is pretty much gone and no more knee. I’m eating what I want in smaller portions excluding sweets, cokes with sugar, and fast foods. I really like the diet and I’m feeling pretty good today.

Bruh, I saw one this morning blow through a red light making a left turn at a busy intersection. He almost got slammed by a motorist who was making a legal left turn from another direction. The motorist was luckily paying attention but had to come to a complete stop in the middle of the intersection and was nearly rear ended by the driver behind him.

IMO, road cyclists should have to carry insurance to ride on the roads, and be subject to the same "no pay, no play" laws as motorists. If I plow into some a-hole that blows through a red light, I'll be damned if I should get sued. His widow should have to fix my bumper.

dont worry about how fast its coming off if you are eating enough protein especially on a short time frame like a week. starts of diets usually have fast weight loss

like wise, dont freak if you get zero for a a week or 2 either cause that will happen.
